Eveningkit bounced over to Mudtrot, his head high. Well, hiya Muddy! He exclaimed with a grin, his eyes lighting up. Wanna play? He raised his paw, and as he did so, snow flew off of it.

Eveningkit giggled, nodding. Okay, Muddy! Tell me a story! He squeaked, his eyes brightening. Please! He added earnestly, looking up at the elder.
Frostpaw found this cat extremely fascinating. They had a love for feathers and a unique way of expressing themselves. “Well, that was incredibly smart and sweet of your mama.” He said in a warm tone, he didn't have parents so he wasn't sure how that felt. He felt compelled to ask more. “So are you close with your mama or your parents?” He was interested to hear more about them.

"My mama was all I really knew, disappeared. Dunno where she went." They didn't even seem sad, why would they? "I don't understand why she just up and disappeared, but she did. Maybe she couldn't handle the clan-life. But.. she was wonderful when she was around. Great mother, honestly." Magpie looked at Frost, smiling their awkward smile. "But anyway. Off-topic, but.. She used to think birds and flowers had certain meanings to 'em. Like.. Magpies. Some see them as bad omens, but my mama saw them as good. She thought they brought wonderful things, like food and their feathers."

Their eyes wide as they demonstrated a claw strike. "Woah!" they meowed in awe. "Claw them to shreds!" they repeated, flexing their claws in the grass below. Hivepaw was too busy running over the move she'd show them to catch the misspoken words. "Dodge and shred... Dodge then shred.." The striped tabby apprentice flicked their tail and excitement and rushed towards Ashpaw before aiming a strike at their shoulder. They'll start the fight then they'll get to use the dodge in action!
