I entered the camp, not seeing Tansypaw. She must be somewhere. I'll just drop by the medicine den and put it with the other burnet leaves, I guess,
I thought.

I flicked my tail, turning toward the medicine den.

Ripplekit awoke, bubbly as ever. She had been dreaming about helping people as the very official clan Cheerer-Upper, Cherryswirl had assigned that role to her. Sticking her tail up high in the air, she strolled outside the nursery, searching for her bestie, Badgerkit. [@Theodore_510]. "Badgerbestie, where are you?" she called.

A queen had told me to keep my eyes on Ripplekit. I quickly spotted Ripplekit among the camp, calling, "Badgerbestie!" I had no idea who Badgerbestie was, but I walked toward Ripplekit.

"Hey, Ripplekit. A queen sent me to watch you," I'd mew. "Want a badger ride?" I flicked my tail.

I moped around, bored. Honestly, today had been a plain day. Sure, Ripplekit had kept my mind off of things for a good while. But now, I was stuck wondering why I had no mate, what seemed to make me useless to toms.

Maybe because none of them really, really knew me.. I seem so grumpy, and so cold on the outside, even if i really care for Riverclan and each of it's cats..

"I'll never get a mate," I said aloud.

Unknown to me, a tom was approaching.

I looked up. I had been pawing at the ground. "Oh, hello!" My ears pricked up, but I was still mopey. "I don't believe we have met before, hmm? Although, I joined about nine moons ago," I shifted, sitting up.

A cold, cruel gaze still shone in my eyes, hiding my true self. "Most cats don't dare come touch me, you know," I mewed, "don't you think the vines on my legs are.. weird?"

Could I get a mate this way? I thought.
