Re: [P] Swimming with the Fishes!
Oh.. Wow. Fishpaw's sharp gaze sent her fur standing on edge! Cherryswirl had to take a quick moment to try and pick out exactly which emotion he was throwing at her. Ultimately, it seemed like determination. So... he was ready to move further in? Cherryswirl would allow him this choice... though carefully. Her gaze was intensely focused on her apprentice, watching as the water lapped up to his neck... watching as he sucked in an unintentional mouthful. Carefully.
"Alright," She meowed pensively, "We're going to move in slowly now," and as she said this, the warrior began to slowly shimmy deeper into the water. She kept her pelt firmly pressed against Fishpaw's, trying to keep the majority of the current off of him.
"Like I said before, if you need to stop and acclimate, let me know and we'll take a break. But once you feel your feet start to scrape the bottom of the river here, start kicking your paws to try and swim."

Re: [P] Swimming with the Fishes!
Fishpaw
32/100
___________
”Start kicking your paws and try to swim”
Well yeah, but how the hell was he supposed to do something he didn’t know how to do? C’mon Cherryswirl. She just said the silliest, most asinine things sometimes. It was fine… She’s trying her best here… It’s better than nothing…
Sighing in defeat, Fishpaw grunted in response. If he died here, he wanted everyone to know that it was Cherryswirl’s fault and the fault of living in a stupid swimming-reliant clan. Like it was dumb, very stupid. Yes, his name was Fishpaw, but that didn’t mean he was a fish! Surely StarClan thought it hilarious that a cat named after a swimming animal would be wary of water in such a manner.
Ugh, he wouldn’t let those star-faces win.
The small tom waded into the water until he could just barely touch the bottom. Okay… now what…? With a bit of hesitation, Fishpaw lifted his legs off the ground but instantly started kicking and splashing in fear the moment he began to sink downwards. He could not do this. ”AH!” He cried out before he reached his front paws out in an attempt to wrap them around his mentor, hoping that her larger size would be able to keep him afloat.

Re: [P] Swimming with the Fishes!
Hey! That was progress! Not... not an incredible amount, but it was a good attempt. Watching as Fishpaw kicked his paws, Cherryswirl logged a few notes of his form, his demeanor and general attitude when doing so. Fishpaw definitely wasn't a strong swimmer. She was sure he knew that too... but at the very least this training could help with preserving his life should another flood ever come through - stars forbid. His cry shortly after alarmed her though and she quickly turned. Just as she was about to move and help redirect Fishpaw towards a more shallow part of the water, she watched him quickly grasp her front legs,
"OOP," She meowed aloud, losing her balance on the slippery shore beneath her paws, feeling Fish's grip release on her legs. This sent her timbering like a ginger tree into the water, the splash of cold liquid on her face sending a electrifying jolt through her body. Though she was able to exhale the water forcefully from her nose and quickly regain her stance - now sopping wet. As she turned to look for Fish, a noticeable bob of his silver fur in the water gave him away. His slow float in the water was slightly comical, but this was no time for amusement especially if he was still struggling. She couldn't see if his head remained above and it didnt matter at this point. Crashing her way quickly through the stream, Cherry reached down and grasped a mouthful of Fishpaw's scruff, pulling him up and towards the shallow, still watered shore where they originally entered. It didnt take long at least. And wow, it was only now that she really noticed how much smaller Fish was in comparison. Pulling him until both their paws were barely submerged, she released him from her grasp, taking a few deep breaths as she watched with an intense golden stare,
"Sorry, F..Fishpaw. I slipped on..." She huffed out another breath, "-the rocks. Are.. you ok?" Her voice was laced with genuine concern.
