Coldamber brought her kits in one at a time, careful not to upset them too much on the journey. She'd ended up sleeping in the Medicine Den after her delayed birth resumed, not looking foward to being alone in that nursery with hardly a friend.
Once she settled them all in, she briefly went over the names. Puffinkit, Brushkit, and Gullkit- all beach inspired. She remembered being to one with her Den folk once, but had mostly stayed in the Den. She felt like she missed out of the chance to experience it and wanted most of them to have beach like names.
She looked at the tailless tom, Fizzlekit, and remembered Wavekit, who had let a wailed before his breathing stopped and passed. She really hoped this one lived on. So far he was more active than his other siblings and certainly more demanding.
