Blackjaw's ears perked at Dawnstar's voice, booming from the top of the Grimpeak. Mosstangle's question was genuine, but Blackjaw couldn't help but feel defeated in that prospect. "I don't think she intends on giving me an apprentice until I can prove myself," he mewed. The leader had seemed to been a little less angry about the fox situation when she had found out it wasn't an organized patrol, but nonetheless, Blackjaw wasn't very hopeful that he'd get an apprentice.
MOSSTANGLE
Shadowclan Warrior | 19 moons | Large, dark brown-and-white tabby she-cat with green eyes
~~~
Mosstangle looked over at the tom, nose lightly touching his shoulder. "You never know. Even if that is the case, I'm sure you'll knock her claws off when you get the chance." She purred quietly to him. She felt that another chance would present itself soon enough for all of Shadowclan's warriors to prove themselves. The tabby knew that she would become quite ruthless if needed to hold on to her spot as a warrior.
Morningpaw nodded, grinning slightly. "Yep. All those kits will be apprentices..." The dark tabby said, before descending to a mutter. "Stars, the Apprentices Den will be crowded.." ANyways... The brown and black mottled tom turned amber eyes to the Grimpeak. "And those other three; they're becoming warriors today. Cool, isn't it?" Morning said, eyes flicking back to Wildkit for a second.
WILDKIT
Shadowclan kit | 4 Moons | Long-furred calico tom with yellow eyes
~~~
"That is cool!" Wildkit said, whiskers twitching with interest. He looked up at Morningpaw. "What are their warrior names gonna be? What's your warrior name gonna be?" He asked, eyes wide and bright as he looked between the dark apprentice and Dawnstar. "I think... I'm gonna be Wildstorm!" He said, puffing his chest out and pinning his ears back to regally lift his chin.

For some reason that was terribly funny. Oh well. "My warrior name? Well, probably something like Morninghaze, or Morningfire." The dark apprentice said, flicking his tail. "Wildstorm would be a cool name. And I do not know what their names will be, Wildkit. Just wait and see." With that, Morningpaw turned back to Dawnstar.
Blackjaw smiled at Mosstangle's words, glad to have someone who believed in him at least somewhat. He brushed her head with his nose. "Maybe, hopefully," he mewed. His gaze was fixed on Dawnstar once more, awaiting her announcement to assign the mentors of the new apprentices. "If I do get one, I just hope I can train them well," he mewed.

Mushroomkit watched her friend, something about the way that the much bigger feline spoke and acted seemed off to her, and she liked to think that she knew of her friend well enough to notice when something is off. But at the same time, nothing has happened has it? Was Adderpaw feeling sick? Did something happen and Adderpaw just hadn't told Mushroomkit about it? The russet feline wasn't sure, but didn't want to push, maybe she was just reading into things too much and nothing was wrong at all. But there was a nagging feeling.. Her heterochromia eyes shifted from Adderpaw to Dawn star as she heard her name called to approach the grimpeak.
"What about... Dovekit?" Her eyes narrowed in concern and flicked from the leader's form down to where the kittens being named this moon were gathering and where her sister should've been. Dawnstar wouldn't have just missed Dovekit's ceremony on purpose, well not unless she did something wrong to get it demoted which Mushroomkit would know about and nothing has happened. The time that they were the leader's den came to mind, the leader's words about how maybe Dovekit only liked being seen by Mushroomkit.. maybe her sister was just nervous and was hiding away well enough to have been missed by Dawnstar? Yes, that must be what is happening.
Mushroomkit would bring Dovekit to Dawnstar's den after the meeting to get it all settled, something told her it was the more respectful thing to do rather than yelling or causing a scene- she was tired of scenes and being stared at by everyone even when it was to the fault of someone else rather than one of hers. "Uhm.." Mushroomkit shuffled in place before turning back to Adderpaw, "Mk! After I get my name we can make a nest together!" She replied cheerily, she knew that the Dovekit thing would be cleared up in no time so there was no reason to be sad, Dovekit didn't like attention so maybe not having all eyes on her during a ceremony would be better and more comfy for her anyways.
Mushroomkit with a last smile shot in Adderpaw's direction started to the based of the Grimpeak, settling down and hoping that her fur was nice enough for such an occasion. She ignored the eyes she could feel glaring into the back of her pelt. She already knew who they belonged to, and didn't want to give him any reason to come up and ruin everyone's meeting as well.
Cricketpaw made his way through the crowd with his best pal at his side, the brunet being a whole lot less obvious and more so weaving his way through the cats surrounding the Grimpeak. He couldn't believe that Butterflypaw had heard the meeting start and then just didn't tell him because? What? Cricketpaw actually didn't know why his friend didn't tell him but it was probably for some stupidly genuine reason that the mossy colored apprentice couldn't really even be that upset about.
"Here's a spot for us, pal!" The tom settled down to listen to the meeting, which luckily they only missed the first little bit of it as it seemed that kits and apprentices were just now lining up to receive whatever new names they were to get. Oh, it was just so exciting to see! Especially when soon enough it would be him and Butterflypaw up there! His eyes swung through the crowds of cats, and he recognized a few faces, but none that he wanted to immediately talk to.
Butterflypaw found a seat besides Cricketpaw as directed by the older apprentice. The meeting itself was still in its early phases and generally, the brunet tom wasn't very interested in attending so close anyways. He hated feeling surrounded and trapped by strangers and cats that might bump into him and it made it hard to breath and it was just- so much noise- it was distressing. Butterflypaw wasn't supposed to feel like that thought, it wasn't what his father wants of him and it wasn't a normal thing.
Cats attended with no issues all the time, so why was it that Butterflypaw would rather play pretend at not hearing it start and pretend he didn't hear the rest of the meeting than attend- but he hated the idea of Cricketpaw being by himself over here even more. Which was silly because the older apprentice could take care of himself and there were no threats- they were in the middle of a clan meeting- any threat that stumbles in would be put down in seconds. It was just another silly thing- logically understanding something but having an emotional response to it anyways. It's not what father would want.
Owlthroat
he/him | Shadowclan Enforcer | 47 moons Killer Aptitude T3 - Just A Scratch - Silver Tongue T2 The Dancing Bird
Owlthroat strode towards the call of the leader’s voice, his muscles and wounds still ached from the recent challenge he’d endured. But he found an ample spot to lower his haunches and survey the rest of the clan joining them.
The sun’s light felt rather pleasant upon his pelt, new-leaf had sprung into force. The new shoots seemed to be popping up everywhere, the hues of green tended to be a welcome sight upon weary eyes. Much preferable to snow and drizzle, he enjoyed new-leaf the most out of all of the seasons. It tended to bring good blessings to both the clan and himself. His eyes flickered to Magpiecove who he’d found himself sat next to and he offered a small nod.
The small chimera sat quietly, paws buzzing. Truthfully, she was hoping for another apprentice, amongst other things. But really, Magpiecove had found that she hadn't exactly been doing anything. Her life was soooooo borinnngg. Surely she could change that, right? There had to be an outsider stupid enough to linger at the borders, meaning she had to get her kick in eventually.
Magpiecove began to wonder if anycat would be open to a spar. While she much preferred flesh to anything, she was getting desperate to nick her claws at something. Seventeen moons, and completely scarless! What a pity, a pity she'll fix, no doubt. There was no reason for her to look so baby faced. She was awesome!
Now, she would give herself her own scars, but she wanted to earn them. There was something akin to being a wannabe by not earning most of your scars in battle and half of them were self inflicted.
Well, Shadowclan better start a war or predator hunt or something! She was sooooo sick of waiting! And she was awesome too, she could totally handle a few owls, no problem! Haha, why wouldn't she?
Even while she was absorbed in her own thoughts, she half listened to Dawnstar, rounded ears perked in alert interest. Then she saw a white and black pelt pad into view. Magpiecove grinned widely at him. Ah, her man! "First of all, thanks for the show." She hissed, even her naturally malicious voice hinging on genuine. She made sure to mew in-between the leader's words, eyes meticulously watching her jaw move. "And, thanks for getting rid of that rut. Mudslide was a DUD, didn't even have a BACKBONE!" Seemed like the Enforcer couldn't play doll for much longer. Of course she couldn't, only Magpiecove could.
"You messed Rookfire up prettyyy baddd. That blood thing? HAHA!" She glanced at his scars. "How are they healin'?"
Owlthroat
he/him | Shadowclan Enforcer | 47 moons Killer Aptitude T3 - Just A Scratch - Silver Tongue T2 The Dancing Bird
Owlthroat couldn’t help but chortle at Magpiecove’s remarks, breaking his gruff demeanor. He always had time for her, he’d remember fondly her spark for battle and typically enthusiastic growl for life. ”Glad you enjoyed it, I must say it was the most entertainment I’ve had in a while.”
Owlthroat chose to hold his tongue back on a comment towards Mudslide, it was just depressing. Throwing all she had earned away in a blink. He hadn’t had the chance to even work with her enough to pass his judgment. Pathetic.
”Still a tad stiff, I don’t heal as quickly as I used to when I was your age. But not too bad for wear, I didn’t have much of a plan going in but spraying him was a highlight.” He grumbled as he shifted his paws, his deep voice clear but monotone. ”How’ve you been?” He hadn’t actually seen much of Magpiecove lately, now he thought about it. It was a surprising pleasantry to catch up.
