Riverkit watches as her sibling were playing together. she was behind the protection of her sleeping mother's, rabbitfur's, tail. she didn't play as much as her siblings did.

"gotcha tail." stemkit mews to her brother mudkit

"hey!" mudkit mews.

"ha!" wavekit laughs at his sister and brother.

Stormkit wave her paw goodbye to as splashcloud took flutterkit, to Medicine den to see berryshine, she hoped she feels better soon, mama seemed really worried, I would be to… she thought to herself, flutterkit eyes haven’t opened yet, well they opened but she can’t seem see though them, have faith!, berryshine is amazing medicine cat! She notices that rest of her siblings were do they own things now…
She saw a riverkit watching her siblings play, next to her mama, why isn’t she playing? She thought to herself, maybe she lonely, I could play with her… she thought some more, before mew in soft yet strong voice to riverkit “ hey, if you want I could play with you, if you want” she was a bit nervous but felt brave asking her, with sweet smile!

Salamanderpaw's quiet for a bit, chipping away at her chores and taking what she thinks are quick, sly peeks over at Larkwing. Her legs. Her tail. The apprentice gnaws on the inside of her mouth, fussily kicking an errant shell out of the way to gather up another mouthful of mess (and then feeling bad and carefully setting it back, because it's not the shell's fault).

"So why do you have kits?"

It's not a polite way to ask what she's really curious about—and it's certainly not all that she wants to ask; just feels like a mild enough topic to open with—but Salamanderpaw has no patience for doing things the polite way and she's starting to make her peace with that. Hell, most of the time she's not even sure what the 'polite way' even is. It's a moving goalpost. A system of nebulous, time-wasting rules that she just can't hack.

"I know that maybe sounded bad but I don't mean it in a bad way. I think kits are cute. Yours are pretty cute. I just don't know why anyone would have them when it means being stuck in here for soooo long. Isn't it boring?" She balls up a wad of old, crumbly bedding and kicks it toward the entrance with one of her back feet. A glance over her shoulder to ensure it makes it where she wants it to be, then back toward Larkwing.
