As the tom listened intently to the meeting, he couldn't stop himself from grimacing at all the reminders. Kits and apprentices leaving camp was one big problem in of itself, but taking kits outside of camp knowing the dangers of this new place? Not even to mention some cat trying to take on the role of a medicine cat without any experience, great starclan what was happening? At least there was some good news, Dusklion was back and healing, praise starclan for that. Shrikestorm directed his attention back to Fadingstar, hoping there would be some more good news in this meeting.

Seabreeze watched the meeting from in front of the designated warriors den space in their temporary camp. Not wanting to get up, and plenty being able to hear and watch over the cats in front of him from this distance. Though he wasn't surprised to hear that Duckpaw's whole situation was announced he hadn't realized that there were so many problems with kits and apprentices recently. The lionheart would make a note to keep a better eye out on them when he could, also warriors- full grown ass warriors- were taking kits out into such dangerous and unknown territory? And for what? Seabreeze wasn't blind, he has seen the huge birds circle every once and while, and he has seen the many crevices and nooks and crannies that kits could get hurt in if out and about but still... it seems as much as they were getting better as a clan, it wouldn't have been as easy as being put in time out for a couple of moons or however long they would remain in this dreadful place.
Seabreeze sighed... at least there was good news tossed in, the whole thing with Dusklion had left him beyond stressed out. Especially when his patrol had turned up nothing for the deputy. It wasn't very fun, and he knew he wasn't the only cat that thought they may have to replace their deputy yet again. Seabreeze would've mourned losing Dusklion, he considered her a friend and one of the best deputies this clan has had in awhile since Fadingstar's short time as one... but at the same time, and for the same reasoning, with all the instability within the high ranks recently, his mind had gone to the worst places with the information that his deputy had been found gone and with signs of a struggle involved at that.
The lionheart made a note to go and visit the deputy in the medicine den if she wouldn't mind his company, though he would, recently he believes that he may have ruined things between them. Having mistakenly turned to Fadingstar after spotting him first after leaving the medicine den rather than thinking for one moment that maybe he should've gone to the damn deputy who assigned the patrol so that she could deal with the patrol results. It wished he could blame it on coming down from a fright and a panic, but it was simply idiocy and it was his own disability to think that is why he should really have his position revoked by now. Well, no point in trying to take it back now, the situation was dealt with and hopefully Duckpaw would learn his lesson. It was as simple as that, perhaps Seabreeze should talk to Dusklion about that as well. And maybe bring up another idea that he had... though he probably shouldn't bring work into conversations where he's trying to communicate like a friend rather than a lionheart.
He simply tapped his stubbed tail against the floor behind him in slight annoyance at himself as he waited for the next announcement from his leader.

Primrosekit watched cautiously, from being half hidden by the nursery's walls. Curious to see what the meeting about but scared to be around so many cats, he remembered well the last time he was in a crowd like that and it certainly wasn't fun. Especially because he would be all alone, with no Stormkit to keep him company and to try and help. He still wasn't sure where his siblings could've gone, but they haven't been around for a couple days now. As much as some of them teased Primrosekit to the high starclans, Primrosekit missed them. The little kit shrank into himself at the thought, at the loneliness. Even someone like Primrosekit got lonely, and being lonely mad him sad. And being sad meant that Primrosekit had a harder time doing or wanting to do anything at all.
Floodsight shifted nervously awaiting for the following news and meeting, before suddenly she her a sharp voice coming from right behind her. Quickly, Floodsight spun her head around to meet the amber gaze of Owltalon. 'Ah!' Floodsight gasped a little. It's been a while since last she's seen the older warrior, and the last meeting wasn't exactly...pleasant. Well, Owltalon was definitely right last time. Floodsight was being irresponsible to say the least.
Owltalon was probably her ideal, the type of cat she wanted to grow up to be. Strong, responsible cat who takes care of the Clan under her wings. Floodsight looked up to the older she-cat and hoped that, one day, she would be able to mend her previous mistakes and change their relationship for the better.
Wanting to appear a little better in Owltalon's eyes, Floodsight straighten her back and gave Owltalon a small polite nod that barely covering her enthusiasm to see the older she-cat, "Yes!"
Floodsight was a little nervous. Beyond her past mistake and inevitability that Floodsight did wrong, was a fan in the presence of her idol. She should probably apologize, but everything may sound like an excuse in Owltalon's eyes. Floodsight wouldn't know, unless she tried. In attempts to amend her mistake, Floodsight softly stammered, "I-i'm sorry about...last time. I should've taken them back as soon as I saw them."
Almost awkwardly, Floodsight turned red with how fast Fadingstar got to the point. Though she was happy at Dusklion's return, the shame of her fault made her face burn a bit. She agreed with Fadingstar every statement. They are already so far from home and in uncharted territories. The last thing RiverClan needed are kits who were injured, or much worse...gone. It could've been so easy to have so, yet Floodsight made the mistake and gave into the kits' adventures too easily.
"I've been..." Floodsight started. Other than the last incident, her life wasn't too eventful. "Hunting mostly..."
"Been... trying my best to...talk to others a little more." Her voice trailed off. Floodsight's normal nonchalant face may cover that she was a rather shy cat on the inside. Talking to cats around her age was a little harder than she thought. Floodsight looked at Owltalon, with a little more curiosity, "You?"

Aspenkit? Marigoldpaw turned her head to look at her friend, her eyes widening. It had been a hot minute, a good hot minute, and Marigoldpaw regretted not talking to Aspenkit more. She truly did enjoy the tom-kit's company and felt guilty for not coming into the nursery every once in awhile to chat. It's not like she was busy or anything, actually it was quite the opposite. Though, Marigoldpaw fully expected a pawfull of chores to be thrown onto her once they got into their actual home (whenever that would be. Hopefully soon, she was praying for that).
"Hey, Aspenkit! Huh, is it just me, or did you get a bit bigger?" The apprentice tilted her head at the smaller cat and squinted her hazel eyes. Maybe he had. Soon enough, she was positive he'd be waltzing out of the nursery to join her in the apprentice den. Which would be nice, having a familiar face near was just as good as having an unfamiliar face to get friendly with.
Oh, questions! Marigoldpaw made sure to listen attentively and gave his words a considerable amount of thought. Perhaps too much thought... She'd hate to leave her friend hanging on an unanswered question. But she felt the need to be very in depth with her explanation, especially considering she had a hunch that said question was eating Aspenkit up inside and out. "Well, uh, it's going good! Goldfish is showing me around territory, went to a border and such. Oh, I named a few random slightly memorable places like large rocks and tall trees. But hopefully we won't be here long enough to actually have to use or establish landmarks..."
Oh fighting. Speckles had constantly edged into her the importance of knowing how to fight, but Marigoldpaw felt reluctant. She wanted to hold off the training for as much as possible, she'd hate to have to get wrapped up in a bloody war just because she was battle trained. It made her muscles squirm beneath her fur, a horrible and looming feeling that the same tragedy of the last battle would strike again, except she'd be in it. Walking in blood, tasting blood, breathing blood. She hated it. Hated all of it.
"Oh, erm. Yeah, no battle training, sorry Aspenkit." She forced an awkward and ridged smile. "It's kinda not my thing I guess. I just... Can't get the drive. Ugh, it's weird, sorry. But I uh have made some friends. Fishpaw, met her last meeting. I still have to set up a trinket expedition." Ah Fishpaw. She quite liked the she-cat and found her very enjoyable to be around. After the meeting. After, she'd ask Speckles to tag along with her, Fishpaw, and Covepaw to go off and look for charms for their bedding.

At the mention that he looked like he'd grown, aspenkit straighten his spine proudly. Yeah he had grown hadn't he? He was six moons now for stars sake of course he had. "Yeah I know." he said trying not to let his pride show to much. Aspenkit listened intently as marigoldpaw went on to answer his questions, Goldfish? That must be her mentor! The name was familiar had he met them before? A lot of cats come by the nursery so most likely. Upon Marigold's statement of naming places in the territory that could be landmarks, he frowned. "yeah, I'd actually prefer we got back to our real territory for my training. I'd like to get a tour of riverclans actuall home not that this place isn't.....cool" he said reluctantly, marigoldpaw sounded pretty happy with her expedition around this place. It did sound cool and exciting but it wasn't riverclans real territory and never would be. Atleast, in Aspenkit's eyes that is.
Aspenkit stayed quiet while his friend told him about her new friend she had made last meeting and how she didn't like the idea of battle training. He opened his mouth to respond but shut it the moment he heard Fadingstar's voice reach his ears. Oh the meeting is starting! Suddenly he felt the excitement and anticipation spark back to life as he looked up at the starpoint where his leader stood. Oh they weren't doing the apprentice ceremonies right now- that was fine... Aspenkit felt a bit dissapointed but ignored it. they would get to the ceremony soon, first important announcements!
"wait Dusklion was gone!?-" Aspenkit uttered out shocked, how had he not noticed!? The deputy, coolest cat in the clan had been missing and he hadn't known!? Shame on you aspenkit. He whipped his head around trying to see through the crowd of cats much larger and taller than him, he managed to spot what looked like the deputy's fur. Dusklion was sitting by the entrance of the medicine cats den, hopefully she was okay. Fadingstar's next words brought his attention, apparently aspenkit had failed at yet another promise he had made to himself. Kits had been leaving camp, he hadn't ofcourse but other kits have. He had promised to watch and look after his denmates...as for the apprentices leaving camp alone-
"apprentices can't leave camp alone?" he asked looking back at Marigoldpaw, he hadn't known that. As for the leaf cat- medicine cat incident aspenkit didn't quite understand. Why would other cats be trying to be like Mistyshard and Berrypaw? Clearly those two had everything handled quite fine alone. "I won't be like that when I become an apprentice" he said mainly to himself. As Fadingstar spoke about punishments, Aspenkit turned his attention back to Marigoldpaw. anyway, after I become an apprentice you need to introduce me to Fishpaw and your mentor! I'd like to meet them too" he smiled.

Mudsmoke hadn't heard that initial call for the meeting but he did hear the beginning of the announcements. Over sleeping again, how come this keeps happening. It must be something about the mountains, maybe that it was colder? He preferred to stay in his nest more than he used to back in their old territory. Hefting himself out of the mossy warmth, he stretched his hind legs; his injured one still stiff and painful to move. He'd have to go get this checked sooner or later, prolonging another visit to the Mistyshard and Berrypaw would do nothing good.
As he approached the entrance, or rather the exit, of the designated warriors den; he spotted a familiar tom sitting there and observing the meeting. From what Mudsmoke could here he hadn't missed much, just the usual news. Riverclan cats causing trouble as always, some of the kits too. Huh, guess all this was for nothing since no one was really learning their lesson. It was good to hear that they had found Dusklion, he was sure she had gone and fallen of a cliff or something. He was glad they weren't having to pick another deputy, they were going through enough strife now they didn't need to worry about filling in new high ranks as well.
Taking a seat next Seabreeze, he let out a scoff of irritation. "honestly you'd think we'd have less problems in the mountains then we did back home. Guess some cats can't get it in their thick skulls to learn." he muttered, turning to face Seabreeze he greeted by hitting his tail lightly against the toms shoulder. "and you? How have you been."

Mistyshard gathered at the Starpoint, curiously gazing at the leader. Dusklion going missing... yes, that was a big shock for all. She was glad that the deputy was back and resting in the medicine cat's den, they really needed Dusklion's presence in the clan. And the she-cat was a great companion. She nodded along as Fadngstar spoke, a relieved look in her one amber eye.
So, problems with kits and apprentices.. that was nothing new, the youth of the clan had always been a bit crazy. The apprentices trying to play medicine cat notice was met with a little sigh. It could be really dangerous for cats if they trusted an apprentice and were fed the wrong herb. Too many things that could go wrong. The repeat of the rules and the new consequences were met with a satisfied smile. That should keep cats in line for a while, she hoped.. though some young cats just couldn't be sensible no matter the conditions.
She shifted in her position a little, wrapping her tail around her paws and waiting for the meeting to continue.
Redwater listened carefully to her leader’s words. No kits allowed out of camp? Sounds good. She gave a glance in the former outsider kittens’ direction. Sorrel and Beach. Sorrel’s been out of camp many times… oh well. Redwater shifted in her position, scanning the cats around her. A deep want to protect them and prove herself to them filled her.

Rainpaw flinched when Fadingstar mentioned the "apprentice" that accessed the herb stores. She looked down at her paws shamefully, she wasn't sure she'd ever be able to feel worthy of being an apprentice every again. But at least names weren't named and Fadingstar didn't look at her directly. So it wasn't like it was going to be made common knowledge. Still, she knew who Fadingstar was referring to.

Ravenpaw glanced at her sister when Fadingstar mentioned the herbs, and saw her reaction. Ravenpaw couldn't help but sigh, it was so annoying how easily her sister allowed herself to feel defeated. She wanted to grab Rainpaw by the scruff and shake some sense into her. The best way to move forward from a mistake was to work on yourself and prove yourself to the clan again. Not mope around.
Irisdream
Irisdream was sitting amongst her clanmates peacefully, her tail wrapped neatly around her paws. She sat with grace and poise, and blinked her deep, dark blue eyes at Fadingstar's announcements, and nodded her head solemnly. Sounds reasonable. She noted.
Well, nobody took that particularly poorly. They were reminders he shouldn't even have to give in the first place, so hopefully from here on out there wouldn't be any further issues like this.
"Moving on, we'll finally be leaving this place and going back to our normal territory in about a quarter moon. Hopefully two moons is enough time for those fox-hearts to have moved on to other things. That said, if they ever decide to chase us out of our home again, we won't go back. I'm not going to have RiverClan living amongst groups that won't respect our right to territory.
"For now, though, we're going to return home soon. I know many of you may be doubtful, and I hear you. But as long as we stick together and continue working on the stability we've slowly been achieving the past couple of moons, we'll be fine. Whether you agree with me that the 3v1 wasn't justified or not, let's not give them anything even remotely close to a good reason to try that horse-dung again.
"RiverClan will remain focused on itself. I don't want anyone running off on missions of revenge or anything of that sort. I want justice just as much as the rest of you, but I firmly believe that each of our enemies will receive the justice they deserve in due time. It may not be in the way we're expecting or as quickly as we want it to happen, but it will come. If we try to seek revenge now, the others will only whine and complain and use that as a justification for further barbarity. In the interests of protecting the Clan, we need to handle this matter intelligently, patiently, and pragmatically."
He paused for a moment, knowing that was a lot to soak in. He was certain that a few cats would try to take it upon themselves to be RiverClan's heroes and make the other Clans pay, but he or another one of the higher ranks would intervene before that happened. He'd make sure of it. There were ways for justice to be served that didn't put RiverClan at risk of being driven out again- and ways that didn't even require their input at all.
"That said, like I said when we were first driven out, RiverClan are not anything close to allies or friends with any of the other Clans. I don't want to hear of a single cat in this Clan raising a paw to help them. If it's a child or it's someone suffering an extreme act of violence, those are the only exceptions. Aside from that, I don't want anyone here offering any help. They've all made it clear that they'd happily watch us burn, so we'll treat them with the same attitude. If you ever feel tempted to show them sympathy or help them in any way, remember how they slaughtered our children, maimed and tortured our cats, and pushed us from our rightful home. Even those that didn't directly kill any kids or maim anyone proved that day that they'll readily tolerate it as long as it's against RiverClan."
His anger at their situation was beginning to spiral again, so he decided that was enough on that topic. No need to completely derail the meeting.
"On a happier note, I've selected a number of new Lionhearts to join our team. I'm hoping that an inflated team will help our Clan continue to work toward stability and success. Bearsnout recently disappeared, leaving an extra open spot on the team. I followed his scent as far as I could, but it cut off somewhere just beyond our borders. I hope the worse didn't befall him, but regardless a replacement needed to be found.
"Brokenstream, Caveclaw, Heroneye, and Goldfish will be RiverClan's new Lionhearts. They are all highly active and dedicated warriors, and I trust that they'll all do an excellent job of serving this Clan as Lionhearts."
He smiled down at each of the new Lionhearts that were present in turn, proud of how they'd earned their positions. If they kept up as they were, they'd join Owltalon, Seabreeze, and Duskleaf as some of the best Lionhearts RiverClan had enjoyed in moons.
Once the cheering had died down, he moved on. "Now, time for apprentice-related announcements. We'll start with our new apprentices. Beachkit, Smolderkit, Aspenkit, Salamanderkit, Shellkit (sleepyjax's), Emberkit, Seakit, Sorrelkit, Lionkit, and Baneberrykit, please step forward."
