....What a depressing but familiar thought. That this kind of loss was familiar and almost threatened to happen again, the sorrow tinging every interaction a cat trying to move on could make. It was the nature of loss, even when it was distant it was ever present and made moving on from it. moving on with life, hard.

Crowtooth could relate, he supposed everyone could, eventually.

"Im still sorry yer goin' through this, ya shouldnt have ta. I.... Im not sure ya heard but it might be some comfort ta spend time wit' Leopardsong. She's.... Well her kits might be familiar comfort an' I know they could use a good influence like ya."
The kittens the queen would be having would be a reminder that Wolffang may be gone from the moor but he wasnt totally, watching from starclan and his pawsteps remaining in his home for those remaining to take comfort in. Kittens were comforting little things besides, embodying the good of the world and distant from harm, so maybe Lichenpaw could find something there. Maybe the kittens could too, in an odd way.

Though what was weighting on Crowtooth right now was the knowledge that he'd have to embody those words soon, with how Bravebird was in the nursery.
"I.... Personally Ill admit I aint doin' that well, but that aint something fer ya ta worry about. Im- Im able ta manage myself its just.... a lot happenin' this moon."

It was thinking on the lengthening list of strife plaguing him reminded Crowtooth of a special event occurring this meeting and the toms head quickly whipped around, letting out a chirp he'd oft used to catch Rabbitpaws attention on outings before. He needed the tom for a moment, he refused to let his kiddo go through today looking like anything but perfection.

"Rabbitpaw! Yer furs a bit.... ruffled, aint fittin' fer today. Git over here so I can get ya right before the meetin' gets inta full swing. Ya can still talk ta Vinepaw, just both o' ya shuffle on over."
Honestly it was kinda ironic for Crowtooth of all cats, perpetually dirt dusted as he was to talk about grooming but he technically could, he was just lazy most of the time. This was different though, and the tunneler turned to Lichenpaw to summon help in the tasking.

"Mind helpin' me tidy up my apprentice? I know one o' the announcements in advance an' I dont want him ta look like we both just rolled in dust fer it."

“I’m not sure what this meeting is about,” Willowpaw replied, “but it’s certainly not a gathering! A gathering happens every full moon, where all the clans gather together to share the news in their clan. I wasn’t even supposed to be at my first gathering!”

Vixenpaw bounced over, nuzzling his brother. "Have I forgotten to tell you that you're AWESOME?! Because you are!" he purred, before pulling away a bit. Hmm. He had overheard Crowtooth saying something about something big happening for Rabbitpaw! Maybe his brother was becoming a warrior! In that case, he had to make his brother look nice! He licked his brother's chest fur- he had to stretch up for it, man Rabbitpaw was tall!- and did the same for the top of his head. "Love you." he said with a smile.

Gatherings? Ashkit never heard of them. But for now he would concentrate on the meeting. He nudged Willowpaw. Ashkit nodded towards somewhere in retreat of everyone. “I’m going to listen there” he said to her. The kit licked her paw before going.

Frogkit was woken up by the noise of twilightstar yelling out for a meeting. she blinked her beady eyes, and rolled over with a "OOMPH" as her belly hit the floor. She then lifted herself up, butt first and then head. She then waddled out of the nursery, seeing who would want to talk to her, while she bites their ankles. She then spotted wildpaw, the perfect victim friend for her! So she trotted over to the apprentice. "Hellow there! I'm Frogkit!" she then looked down at wildpaw's ankles and drooled, she then lunged straight for them, opening her maw, chomping down on the ankle. "NOM NOM OM OM NOM NOM" she said as she let go of the ankle, and smiled at wildpaw.

How exciting he knew that the older apprentice was far ahead of him but maybe now they could go into the tunnels together without one of their mentors. “Are you getting your warrior name?

The WindClan matriarch's call echoed through the molly's underground chambers, coaxing her head up, large ears swiveling to catch her words. A meeting. With everything that had been going on of late, it was bound to be an important one. Swiftly, the calico rushed through the tunnels, exiting at the base of the Galewood itself, cats already gathering beneath it. It took her some time to get used to the light, an unfortunate side effect of living underground. Yet this gave her an excuse to take in the crowd. See the felines that were already attending, with one particular fury catching her eye.

Lightningstorm had been unequivocally busy this moon. There had been many sick. Many injured. And so many new kits. Gratefully, the kits themselves had mostly been okay... but one of the queens was... less than so. She displayed her usual cheer and optimism. The rest of the clan - in particular the furies - were already concerned enough without her adding to their stress. But she had enough experience in her young life to know... she had done as much as she could. There would be no getting better. The most she could do was keep the blue eyed fury comfortable as the disease took her.

The skunk striped warrior her lapis hues now rested on was one of the affected. He'd had just as much stress as her of late. Friends dying left and right. Others only just fending off death. She didn't know. What it was like. To lose a loved one. Would she break? Would she be able to carry on? Perhaps a mix of both. She would assume that such an event would change you in some way. Yet even with it all he seemed to be determined to show a strong, cheerful demeanor. Calling for Rabbitpaw, a fact that caused her stomach to churn with guilt. Perhaps her timing had been... unfortuitous. It wasn't meant as such, but it truly felt as if she was taking even more away.

She didn't know what it was. The guilt. The lingering feeling that perhaps this cat and her had been... close in some way before. Or just professional concern? Regardless, she headed towards him, her pace lazy. Confident. Almost playful in nature as she sat besides the dark warrior, looking up at his scarred face with a smirk. She had meant for a sympathetic smile, but true to form, she went for the most aggravating grin she could muster. The amount of cats surrounding her wasn't helping. She always defaulted to cheeky and obnoxious whenever she felt uncomfortable. Gratefully, it wasn't like he could say much. He was already in the company of others, and calling more towards him. If he rejected her presence here she would most certainly make sure to be as teasingly petty about it as possible.

"Cheers loves, looks like you've got the best seats in the clearing. Gonna have to steal one. You don't mind, right?" she chirped, settling comfortably without waiting for a response, raising a paw and licking it clean of the herbal scent that eternally lingered there.

The WindClan leader glanced down at Silverfur as she spoke to her. "While I would not call any of those things fun, I don't see much need for extra territory but we'll see." She told her.

So she had one ceremony, and that big announcement, and then some more heavy news. She wished she could have a deputy settled on too, but she didn't want to get started on that spiral again.

"Owlkit, come up here, let's get your apprentice ceremony started," Twilighstar called for the young she-cat. She couldn't feel a little giddy after calling this kit up. Twilightstar was eager to see her blossom into a WindClan warrior.

While waiting for the kit to take her place at the roots of the Galewood, she looked out at her clan. "WindClan, I'm not sure why I have to say this, but I don't care who it is or what state they are in, do not bring outsiders into our camp without my permission. If you find an outsider in need or wanting to join, you are to keep them outside of the camp until I can assess whether they're fit to join. Do not bring strangers into our home without my permission." She repeated the last bit to make sure that it stuck with them.

Cats could not just invite outsiders into the heart of WindClan at their leisure. It put Twilightstar in a difficult spot. The WindClan leader was far more defensive after everything with RiverClan was said and done. She did not want cats she didn't know in her camp.
