A spar? Rolling her shoulders back in thought, Dusklion frankly couldn't recall the last time she'd had a general spar. Not that her skills were all that rusty thanks to her daily self-training, but still practice was better than no practice. His comment about intruders was met with a soft snort, but other than that it was disregarded. "Sure. Could use the practice. To the mountains or the forest?" she questioned, wondering where he would want to spar.

"I'm thinking the forest." He meowed gently. Silentstrike had always been a better fighter in the forest.

A furrowing of her brows and a more keen stare was shot Jayfrost's way as Dusklion immediately shook her head. "Actually, it's not. Remember what I said 'bout draggin' you by your ears to the den if you didn't go?" There was a gleam in her eyes as she wondered if the tom thought she had been joking. "I can show you I wasn't jokin' around if you'd like, or you can walk there with me now." There was a brief moment of silence as she blinked at the tom, finding it difficult to be mad at one of the only cats in the entire Clan she considered an actual friend (stars, she needed to actually get better at being a good friend, considering they hadn't talked in awhile).

"Really though, don't want you keelin' over 'n dyin' on me. You really gonna let those wounds a tree rat gave you be the way you go out? I thought my friend Jays was better than that - stronger." Amusement was evident in her tone as her whiskers twitched. Dusklion was totally prepared and ready to drag the full grown cat to the medicine den to at least make sure there was no sign of infection. "Or I can treat 'em for you. Don't know much, 'n can't promise it won't hurt, but I'll give you a choice; my untrained hide or the medicine cats."

jayfrost let his head hang a bit, escaping dusklions stare in no way except that he didnt have to meet her eye anymore, "looks like i dont really have a choice here huh" he mused, motivating himself to a smirk and already on all four paws when dusklion added another sentence. 'I thought my friend Jays was better than that - stronger.' oh. "yeah yeah im already on my way" the tabby rolled his eyes, overplaying the frankly irrational reaction that sentence got out of him. "ya should maybe take a lesson or two aye? no more chances to get around it if you can do it properly"

Cloudsong padded onto the Riverclan clearing. My old bones are aching again! He complained. Cloudsong looked around, with his good eye, the clearing for a cat to yell at for herbs. He spotted a cat and walked towards them. Hey! You!

The cat scattered off. Cloudsong flattened his ears. What, no cats helping elders now? He spat and padded back to the elder den. He sat next to the entrance and waited for an apprentice to do their duties.

Forest it was. The deputy gave a quick stretch of her muscles, flexing her claws while she did so, and then nodded at the warrior. "Lead the way," she grunted with a grin, looking forward to getting to practice her skills.

...The deputy would be lying if she said she didn't feel relief lap at her paws like the waves at Lionsbeach as Jayfrost seemed to get up without much protest. She returned the smirk as she watched him head off. "Maybe I will - but I'll drag you with me if that's the case. Will never understand the idea of learnin' plants, 'n without someone to continuously tell how bored I am, I fear I might wither away durin' the lesson!" The last part she called after the retreating tom, a grin spreading across her face.

...Did she just make an actual friend? Were her and Jays actually friends?? He hadn't disagreed to the notion, and had taken her advice. It felt weird. She didn't actually... have many friends, so the deputy sat with her brows furrowed in thought as Jays headed towards the makeshift den to seek treatment. In the end, the deputy decided it was a good thing and grinned - really grinned - for the first time in awhile.

“Thanks,” Heroneye breathed as Caveclaw finished the hare off. Hunting with another cat wasn’t usually how she went about things, but it certainly had its advantages in some cases.

Heroneye glanced at the sun, which had moved considerably since she had left camp. She had been out longer than intended. Still, though, the day had been rather fruitful. She had caught a fair few pieces of prey with Caveclaw; any outing that brought back prey was at least a partial victory to Heroneye.

“We’ve caught a few pieces of prey now,” said Heroneye. “Perhaps we should return to the river to collect what we have before returning to camp, before it gets to be too much to carry. Besides, since one can't properly burry prey here, I think it would be best to retrieve the fish now before some scavengers do.”

Rainpaw stretched as she padded out of the apprentice's den, flicking her ears as she observed the goings-on around her. She turned around and stepped to the side as her sister Ravenpaw joined her. The two helped groom some difficult to reach areas for each other before Ravenpaw padded off. Rainpaw saw Ravenpaw scurry away from Cloudsong when he called out, and suppressed an amused purr. She always groans about him. But Rainpaw didn't mind.

She rose to her paws and padded over to the elder. "How can I help you today, Cloudsong?" She asked, her voice gentle as she spoke to the gruff old tom. She couldn't help but feel affectionate towards the grumpy elder, he earned the right to complain a bit after all. And it certainly kept things lively.

Ravenpaw breathed a sigh of relief as Rainpaw approached Cloudsong to tend to whatever his needs were today. The elder really ruffled her fur sometimes, and she didn't want to look after elders right now. Maybe I'll get to battle train today! Or hunt! Now her fur bushed with excitement at the prospect of what today would bring.

Brokenstream padded forward, ears alert for any sounds of the group of cats known to be at the other side of the border. They hadn't caused any trouble yet, but he didn't relish the fact that it was just him alone with his fresh out of kithood apprentice. If things went south, it could end badly. They would just have to make this quick. "Come on, Catfishpaw. Make sure you keep up." He meowed over his shoulder, slowing his pace to make sure that he wouldn't get too far ahead of her. This would be her first patrol, he was pretty sure. It must be exciting for her. However, the warrior wanted to make sure he stressed the importance of safety. Especially since there wasn't exactly much undergrowth to hide them.

"We mark along these lines, not over them, okay?" Brokenstream explained, taking this opportunity to mark one of the few bushes nearby. "And we don't cross it. Even if it's not a Clan, we need to respect their boundaries. They haven't caused any trouble for us and we shouldn't cause any for them." With that, he waited for Catfishpaw to mark a few spots herself while he continued to pad along the border, sniffing to see if the scents were recent.
