Hornetpaw rushed to report at the commanding ring of Elmshadow's call, tail swinging behind him as he trotted up. After grinning in greeting at both of his patrolmates, the dark ginger studied the example herbs that the medicine cat had provided. "Oh, these are pretty... I bet we could find tons of these. Are we ready to go?"

Nightshade walks up to the other warrior, analyzing the plants. "Hmm. Okay. Now we just have to wait for the apprentice." The black-furred she-cat mutters under her breath, hoping she never has to take care of one of the little rats.

The trek back to camp took longer than it should have, with the hare held in his mouth. Still he slightly wished he would have taken longer. She kept her blue eyes open for the sight of the other exiled warriors. But none were to be found. Her neck was beginning to ache, and she hoped Elmshadow would be much more easily found.

The flame-colored tom stood awkwardly next to Cloversun, waiting for Iceeyes to join them so they could kick their patrol off. Eventuslly, Hornetpaw lost patience. He narrowed his aqua glare toward the warrior accompanying him and lashed his tail once before parting his jaws.

"Yeah, I don't think Iceeyes is gonna show. Can we just go?"

He waited to hear Cloversun's input for a few seconds; then the apprentice pivoted away from the cluster of example plants that Elmshadow had shown them--stalking toward the camp exit.

Hornet had finished a patrol solo in the past. He'd gladly do so again if his team couldn't catch up.

Vixensnarl let out an annoyed hiss as she stalked below the Shadowledge. Patrols hadn't been sent out in a while, and that was when Cinderblaze was still alive! Well, there would be no more slacking in ShadowClan. "Cats of ShadowClan, If I call you for a patrol you better get your ass moving and complete it, or by the Dark Forest I will shred you." The Enforcer waited a moment to make sure her words had sunk in before assigning the patrols.

"Whiteshine [ @Caspian ], take Robinfeather [ @Robin feather ] and Willowpaw [ @Wintersun ] to patrol the ThunderClan Border."

"Foxcall [ @oleander ], lead the patrol to the RiverClan Border with Nightlight [ @lucidense ] and Sagepaw [ @spooky sky ]."

"Nightshade [ @Gunnar ], take Wolfcrawl [ @WerewolfofDunwich ] and Silentpaw [ @Ember Paw ] to patrol the WindClan Border."

"Frigidpaw [ @Shade. ], I'm going to take you hunting at Croaking Swamp."

"Owlstorm [ @Morning! ], go hunting with Blackfang [ @Whitewillow ] in the territory."

"Shadowfur [ @Cherry~ ], take Scorchedpaw [ @XFR0G_L0veRX ] hunting in the Icy Heartlands."

"Fogshadow [ @Spoooooooooooky ], hunt at the Mourning Ruins with Frogpaw [ @Peril ]."

With that Vixensnarl scanned the crowd of moving cats for her apprentice so they could set off on their patrol.

Robinfeather nodded when she heard her named called. She padded to the middle of the clearing, searching for her patrol mates, Whiteshine and Willowpaw.

Silent'Paw looked around for his patrol. He padded up to Night'Shade, silently waiting beside him.
