[P/T] passing on the art of stealth
Yars, once more, found herself trotting happily to the warrior’s den. This time though, she’d not be fetching one of her father’s. “Flytail?” She called into den, like when she trained with Papa Owl she left “uncle” out of Flytail’s name. She was here on business after all. She had learned combat from her father, and now she’d learn stealth from her uncle, rounding out her night hunting lesson with some practice. Sunset erupted over the clearing, casting oranges in the sky and shadows over the camp. Perfect, the timing was perfect. She nodded to herself, excited and satisfied. Her training was shaping up nicely.

Flytail
48 Moons
He/Him
Flytail’s ears perked as he heard his name. He turned from his work, his striking blue eyes locking onto Yars. A small smile tugged at his lips, though there was a flicker of curiosity in his gaze. “Yars?” he asked, his voice warm with a hint of amusement. “What brings you here tonight, niece?” He stepped forward, the fading sunlight casting a soft glow over his dark fur and the quiet strength he carried. His expression was one of quiet expectation, a mentor waiting for the next lesson. “What is it you’re after this time?” he asked, his tone both patient and attentive.

Re: [P/T] passing on the art of stealth
Yarrowpaw couldn’t help but grin, her uncle knew her well. “I was hoping we could finish our training from before.” She got straight to the point. No point in beating around the bush in this family, and she loved that. Truly, she couldn’t have been herself in any other family. “We went over the concepts of night hunting, but I thought now would be a good time to really master stealth and night hunting.” She mewed, dropping into her hunter’s crouch, more honed now that she’s had time to practice on her own. Not that she needed crouch far to hide from most prey…
Yars looked up at Flytail with excited eyes. She waited patiently for his response, but she didn’t expect him to turn her away. Him and Papa Owl seemed to both share the trait that they valued hard work and grit, and she’d clearly been working hard. Since her battle lesson with Papa Owl, hearing Olivepaw’s story, Yars was determined to both honor her aunt and surpass her. She couldn’t influence how much she’d grow, but she could influence her skills, and putting on muscle. Yars was determined to hone whatever she needed to, not just to survive but to be the best. To surpass legends. Become unstoppable and demand respect. And next on her list for that: mastering this skill.
