Peachfuzz groaned, laying in the nursery, hey eyes closed sleepily. Her tail wrapped around the newborn kits, a few weeks old. The small, fluffy molly sighed, yawning

Dawnkit stirred momentarily, bright green eyes slowly peeking open. The small she-kit yawned big and stretched, almost immediately jumping up on Peachfuzz. "It's morning momma it's morning" Dawnkit mewed excitedly.

For a moment, Smokefern hesitated outside the nursery. They- her and Peachfuzz- were parents now. Of course, the thought had been there when Peachfuzz had mentioned she was expecting, but now that the kits had been born, it really hit her. They were mothers. She exhaled through her nose, ruffling the fur of the squirrel in her mouth, before stepping inside.

Smokefern padded over to her little family, and gingerly placed the squirrel by Peachfuzz. "I brought you something to eat, love." She purred softly, before licking between her mate's ears. Pale eyes turned to the balls of fur curled up on the nest. Starclan above, they were so smalland energetic. "What's got you up early today, Dawnkit?"

Dawnkit watched as Smokefern, other momma, walked into the nursery with a squirrel. "Hi mommaaaaa!," the she-kit squealed. "I dunno, I just woke up, and now I'm awake," she mewed. It seemed like a viable answer. She didn't wanna go back to sleep, so she stayed up.

Sheepkit had been sleeping soundly with a paw over her nose until Dawnkit spoke, blinking her golden eyes blearily as she yawned. Returning her paw to being drapped over her little pink nose. When Smokefern entered the nursery, the cream she-kit blinked one golden eye up at her mother sheepishly, not speaking in greeting though the glint in her eye betrayed her excitement.
