Dawnkit listened to one of the cats talk, not quite understanding some of the words but getting the idea. "I got a question," she meowed, trying to show she was smart. "Amberwhisker says she ate some seed when she had a thorn in her paw, is that poppy seed?" Dawnkit wasn't the best at sentences yet, but she felt proud of the question. She sat up straighter to hear the answer.

Wolfhive had waited until Springlight handled the introduction - but he wanted to be very clear in that he didn't want sick or dead kids running around. "Nor should you keep random plants you find, flowers and berries included, unless you get permission from our medicine cats." He used his tail to point at Springlight.
As for Dawnkit's question, his ears twitched. "Poppy seeds help with pain, so yeah, if she ate a seed it was likely that. It's pretty common as a form of treatment when it comes to wounds."

She was happy that she had been right, so Dawnkit moved a little further back in the group to let the other kits get closer. Curling her tail around her, she sat back to listen.
