Activity warning

For the next six weeks(roughly) I will be doing my GCSE exams and revising for them, due to this although i will attempt to remain as online and active as i possibly can i do still want to pass so expect replies to either be delayed or immediate depending on the day. Im the most active and available afterschool hours and on the weekend!

Who is this guy!

TickPaw is unfortunately not the average shadowclan apprentice or strive for greatness type, although ironically he actively focuses on seeming average and blending in. To be unseen and overlooked at every possible corner. Alongside a want to be unseen comes with how he has a horrible habit of staring.. watching… calculating. To add on to these habits and impulses Tickpaw is as stealthy as one can be, one might mistake his bright orange fur colour as a weakness until suddenly- where did he go?! Tickpaw’s stealth and keen observation skills come from the games of hide and seek he played, watching the battle moves his mother demonstrated (although nothing that hasnt been roleplayed out) and his family’s nature. Tickpaw found out his family was cannibals and since the second disappearance of his mother he’s not sure where to go from here but to continue what was started. Even with the lacking presence of the cat who haunted his every thought he still lingers on what his mother would think of him, scared by someone not even there.

Plot stuff!!
TickPaw will refuse to eat anycat for a long time, so for now he has not and will not kill anycat. However, due to being bewitched with insatiable hunger he’ll make the assumption at some point “the only way this is going is if i give in”. He’ll kill once or twice maximum for his time as an apprentice, he’ll also find out the hunger does not get solved when he eats and over time he starts to notice the hunger itself much more and it becomes a little clearer that there’s something bugging him. During this time he’ll be more concerned about how to overcome the ever-present hunger and keep his training going than he will be lingering on how he’s just killed two cats.

Tickpaw’s personality?
Tickpaw is an incredibly judgy cat although it’s difficult to pick it out of how he acts, a cat with a keen eye can easily notice his staring’s true intent and the analytical eye of a feline who is incapable of thinking about others as actual cats. He also tends to be very very clingy, anycat he can form a good bond with will find that they struggle to get any freedom from his presence after. He can’t help but make sure their really his friend.

The future of TickPaw
I’ll do a finder in the far future when the time comes, but for now his future is greatly determined by the present- whether he turns out an anonymous killer in the clan for the rest of his life or whether he actually improves himself and works to be a useful/active presence is up to how roleplaying him again turns out and whether or not i find it easy to get interactions with him

What was his family like?

TickPaw’s family started off well-collected, at an early age the kits were being taught about how they were much better suited to surviving than those around them and there would be stealth-based games, training and talks. His family had a few main focuses- impressing stoatleap (or mother as she was called by her kits), keeping their true nature a secret and keeping themselves low-profile. His family consisted of two parents and two siblings- but by his apprentice days it was just him and stoatleap left.
His family taught him that those who were not high ranks or cats who had proved themselves were preycat- which is to stoatleap most of the clan. To Tickpaw its anyone who hasn’t shown that their worth his time.

Why is his family important to this finder?

His family is important to the finder because without what his mother said to him/how she treated him he probably would have actually actively reached out about being hungry and wouldn’t be staring at people constantly or feeling scared of consequences or failure. BUT also because im looking for some new connections for him! He wouldn’t be able to be blood-related but if a cat wants to become his new parental figure i’d be okay with that just keep in mind that him being a cannibal will not change and he will garaunteed not be keen on getting too close to any-cat especially “preycats”

Extremely negative interactions consist of incredibly hostile and aggressive insulting, fighting excetera. TickPaw will need an incredibly good reason to get into a full scale squabble with some cat but despite that he is incredibly easy to wind up, he can tolerate what stoatleap says about him but the moment those words are spoken by anycat else he’ll pounce in a heartbeat.If he does get to the point where a fight breaks out i’d typically like it to be something he can learn moves from but not get injured despite the anger in the moment.

 

The difference between the interaction above and this one is its something that can actually form into friendship later if wanted or can turn into a random unprompted grudge. TickPaw’s staring might just pick out information about your cat he doesn’t like.. like that they ate three peices of prey in one day for example, or he saw them making trips to the medicine den in and out and is now convinced they have a cold- these are more interactions just to build his relations and threads for this will have 2-6 posts or so before being closed. Random grudges also work for the other cat too! Maybe they saw tickpaw stare at them until they physically moved away and out of sight, or maybe they caught him finding carcass after carcass on the territory like some sort of death-radar (chill of death) .. perhaps they even caught him mimicking voices and heard a voice they knew.. anything like these!

 

These are- well, positive! Friendships, cats who want/need more friends or more relations in the clan or just tickpaw being dragged into random games like hide and seek, events you need somecat for your own to speak to- anything! Positive interactions may still have the possibility to turn negative if your cat brushes his fur wrong.

 

First of all i’d like anycat applying to be a parental figure to go through a trial interaction first incase, but i’d love it if TickPaw had a cat who was close to him and he could consider them sort of family? He naturally was taught the be very close to his siblings and those he was related to and keep conversations with them respectful so cats who he views as family would probably be treated much better than how he talks to others.
