Newtbelly was almost instantly weaving around Silentpaw, and the apprentice struggled to follow his movements. He lowered his body slightly to prepare to pounce, before pausing. No. Not yet. He needed to make sure Newtbelly was in a much more vulnerable position before he jumped on him. At the current point, he could easily throw him off or avoid him. But it could be a while before the warror was at a position where Silentpaw felt satisfied with.
So he'll do it himself.
Silentpaw slipped behind Newtbelly in one swift motion, attempting to match his movements and staying behind him as much as possible, out of sight. He wasn't quite sure how this would work out if this were a real enemy, but for now, get Newtbelly.
He finally jumped at Newtbelly's back from behind, this time aiming to jump directly onto his back, instead of just pushing him down with his forepaws like he did last time. He reached for Newtbelly's shoulders and aimed to hold his hind paws on his lower back.
Paws traced the earth - trying to move like this was strange. Soon enough, Silentpaw was out of sight. He wouldn’t turn to find him. That’s far too ShadowClan, too Newtbelly. He continued on, till he felt paws land upon his shoulders. Eesh, weight lifting certainly wasn’t his strong point. The tom stumbled a little, but he just about managed to hold the apprentice’s weight. “Then, you’d obviously bite and scratch best you could. Best to do as much damage as possible whilst you’ve got the higher ground. You don’t want them throwing you off easily.” He explained casually. Though it’d be helpful to thrash around a bit, he really didn’t have the stature for it. “You can get down now. Good job.”
