Heathernose felt a pang in her chest. When had her son grown to be so much like her? "Oh, sweetie." She murmured, stroking her tail down Ferretkit's back. "Honey, it's not your job to keep everycat together." She meowed, lifting her son's face to look at her by placing the tip of her tail under his chin. "Everycat has their own feelings, and is responsible for their own actions. The responsibility isn't your's alone." She touched her nose to his forehead. "The family is going through a...difficult time right now. But it'll be okay. You'll see." She purred, hoping that this would bring him some comfort. If he was any more like her, it may not.
