Maybe they were closer when they were little but kinda grew distant since their sister disappeared because Goldenwing and Songfeather dealt with their grief in different ways.

That works for me.
Songfeather would probably try to rekindle the relation at some point because she misses her sister, but thats up to you how Goldenwing reacts to that. If that is okay with you of course.
