Twilightstar returned to camp and set her herbs down as she scouted for the medicine cat. She was tired and wanted a nap, Beastspark, though nice to see again, was a taxing friend which is why she only saw him in doses.
"Lightningstorm,"Twilightstar padded over with herbs in her maw after spotting the smaller she-cat. "Sorry, it took a bit. Herbs are a bit harder to locate in the twolegplace. Here are the herbs you need." She set down the chamomile she had been carrying and moved back to allow Snowybreeze and Lightningpaw some room.
Lightningpaw would come up and drop his herbs next unloading 1 lavender and 2 chamomile.
"Hey Lightningstorm could I perhaps borrow Rabbitpaw for a bit? I was wanting to talk to him about the last time we talked. I may have said some stuff I'm not proud of and would like to apologize." Lightningpaw asked the Medicine Cat. @Alchemist Kitsune @Moonraven

"It was awful." She allowed an edge of bitterness to seep into her tone as she came up beside Hawkfur to add her piece to the report to Crowtooth, "There were too many for the three of us to deal with." Admitting defeat was a bitter taste on her tongue but she had to provide him with all the details he needed to formulate plan of attack.
Scorpionsight gave a nod to her clanmates as they agreed that they were good to return.
She walked back to camp, and back to where they had been called to patrol in the first place, and found Crowtooth wherever.
"Uh, ThunderClan border is fine. Nothing going on." She told the deputy "But Rabbitbreeze also caught a bird."
"And there were lots of bees." Bouncepaw meows, "I didn't see a hive, though."
(The bees are in reference to the hive the previous cats collected in the area a few weeks ago. Makes sense that there will be hiveless bees flying around and making a new hive, right?)
Rabbitbreeze nodded, not speaking, as to make sure she didn't drop the bird. With a friendly smile she trotted away to place the bird in the fresh-kill pile before returning again. `That bird was about all I could find.` she admitted.
........Crowtooth was BAFFLED. In a good way, for once but it didnt change the fact that the tom looked like he'd been slapped about the snout and was bug eye'd and slack jawed at this group like a moron. Patrols just..... didnt come back this fast!!! Never!!! They just didnt and if the group didnt faintly smell of the border the deputy would be tempted to call them liars!!
But no, theyd done the patrol in record time and even brought back a bird. Crowtooth forced his mouth closed and replied. "Dear starclan was the dark forest on yer heels or did ya'll turn the patrol into a race that was quick! I..... Good work, all o' ya'll an' thanks fer the bird, Ill keep the bees in mind too uh, dismissed I guess?....."
Yeah he wasnt recovering from the shock for a good bit.

We didn't see anything lurking around the border this time. There was a Riverclan patrol there, and I greeted them in order to inquire whether or not they had seen anything in the river. They had not. This much was relatively unproblematic, though perhaps a bit annoying if one was Silverrose or Twigleg. Bloody Twigleg. Twigleg was annoyed by this, and had a sulk about it. I don't think the Riverclan cats heard though, they left quite quickly as I think they were already done marking. Ugh, this was just...not a good report. Crowtooth had been all 'oh, you can handle this' and then she had decidedly not handled it. Or maybe Twigleg was just an annoyance. Deadmoon didn't really know why she was taking the blame for this whole thing onto herself, she had been intending nothing but to be friendly. God bless Deadmoon and Silverrose, always two mollies he could count on to get things done. And for all the cats seemed displeased Crowtooth was certain they'd handled it well so he smiled at them, not concerned and rumbled a "Well thank ya two kindly, Im sure ya handled it just as I wouldve. An' Twigleg? Go dunk yer head, see if I put ya on anythin' but a hell patrol fer awhile. Ta everyone who aint a moron go relax."

She trails off, hopeful. Expectant. Because, clearly, this is an awesome idea which needs to be greenlit posthaste. I mean, what? Idea? It's not like Whiterabbit's planning anything, actively. It's just that she is suddenly very curious about what might happen if that happened. With the pricklypine. It's all very academic, trust. Whiterabbit clears her throat, licks her lips, carries on diligently:
"Uh, anyway! Fun day, big success, everyone cheered."
Spottedpaw was still a little winded but she followed along, wondering if she should have taking more of a break to catch her breath. Once they were at the spot, she dropped her rabbit... Then rolled her eyes behind Whiterabbit's back and shook her head softly. What a character, it was refreshing honestly. She stuck around longer to make sure to pull the quills out of the poor rabbit that ran into such a creature. The apprentice made sure to get every little quill as well. What if a kit ate some? ...And perhaps she should spare the older cats as well.
"We might want to eat this one right away." Spottedpaw said as she pawed her despiked rabbit.
Dears stars Crowtooth needed to spend more time around Whiterabbit in general she was a delight. Chuckling at the ramble, tail thumping against the ground pleasently the tom rumbled a "Ya saw a porcupine? Bravebird messed wit' one of those way back an' got spiked but its good ta know they aint generally mean. Knowin' how she used ta be she probably provoked it, but no I aint permittin' one in camp, sorry. Knowin' the current batch o' kits they'll poke it an' get spiked.
Thank ya'll fer yer work, Whiterabbit if ya want another patrol let me know, go relax."

Hawkfur stormed into camp, damp and slimy, a stormy look on his face. He immediately made his way to Crowtooth, a wry grin twisting his maw. "You're not gonna believe what we ran into, mate. Frog. Hell." Hawkfur glanced back at Duckfeather and Burnetpaw, gesturing dryly to their similarly soggy states. "Not a cat to be found but the frogs would have out-manned a bloody army." Hawkfur scowled, flicking slime from his nose. "Wouldn't be surprised if they took out ShadowClan in a great battle for the marshes."Clearly he was level-headed and not at all bitter about this.

...... Im sorry what happened to Hawkfurs patrol? The tom couldnt help but blink a couple of times, un-amused or impressed at whatever this was. "....Frogs. Ya were defeated by frogs?" Crowtooth needed to send everyone in this patrol to battle training or something if a frog was too much for them. Whatever though, no matter how poorly they did at least they got it done?
"Alrighty ya know what I dont wanna hear about this mess I think, Id hope ya brought some o' the frogs home if there were so many but I think its safer ta hope shadowclan is consumed by this amphibian flood. Maybe yall should go an' take a bath or somethin'." They all seemed kinda slimy and Crowtooth did not want that in the warriors den.

Hawkfur grimaced. "If you want frogs stinking up our prey pile, I'll go back and get some. But I'm pointing in your direction when the complaints roll in." Despite the teasing threat, humor sparked in Hawkfur's eyes. "Duckfeather, Burnetpaw, thanks for your help. Despite what this goon may think, you put up a good fight against the things." He just didn't understand how MANY of them were there! Honestly!!! Hawkfur gave his friend a grin to show there was no hard feelings meant before heading off to clean himself.
Was that... a good thing, or a bad thing? Bouncepaw nods with his new information that the patrol they went on was very quick. He thought so too when they returned, but it was his first patrol, and part of him wondered if all patrols were like that.
He heads towards the apprentice den, stretching his legs. He felt thirsty, and he would like to rest his paws for a bit.

"Many frogs. You should go check it out for yourself if you think you can handle it." She shot the deputy a saccharine smile, her patience with respecting authority snapping, "It'll give me a good laugh when you come back covered in slime." Inwardly she braced herself for his reaction but once again her outer front stayed unphased.
A small but genuine smile crept onto her maw at Hawkfur's utterance. She dipped her head sincerely in return, "Thank you for having me along." She didn't like many cats and trusted even fewer, but somewhere along the way she had decided that Hawkfur was at least alright. Not a cat she fully trusted per se, but a cat she appreciated. A cat that she was proud to call her Clanmate. Duckfeather didn't get quite the same level of liking, few cats did, but she didn't feel annoyed by their presence.

Every single time it was such a hike from the meadow back to camp. When they reached the camp, Leechscar led Burnetpaw straight to the medicine cat and dropped the berries he collected at her paws.
"Here, the patrol went well. I had no trouble with Burnetpaw, she's a responsible apprentice. I can't say the same for mine though. I don't know where Owlpaw got to. She's most likely got distracted by something or other. Feel free to punish her if you find her, as it is she's going to be spending some time cleaning out dens for her absence." Leechscar snorted irritably.

Berries dropping at her paws, the medic offered the bright, cheery eyed tom - alright maybe that was a lie - a grin of gratitude, surprise sobering her cheek mere moments later. Chuckles did not seem the type of mentor to accept laziness or lateness with his apprentices, his sternness really matched only by Batglare alone. It hadn't escaped her notice prior to her apprenticeship that Owlpaw had been a pawful, with the kit having gotten injured already during her younger moons due to her penchant for getting into trouble. It seemed she hadn't quite learned to sit still even as a paw. Much as she liked the molly, she was afraid this couldn't go unmentioned. Maybe an extra chance before she threw the tabby back to the nursery for some much needed reflection? Stars... wasn't she a big ol' softie sometimes?
"I'll see about talking to her. She's always had quite the rambunctious spirit, and I'd hate to squash it... but there's a time and a place for everything, and she could very well be using that energy for something productive. Let's see if a second shot is all she needs. If not, she might be having more than one punishment to contend with," Lightningstorm mewed, tapping her chin in thought.
She really did think the apprentice had some potential if she only applied herself. Especially with the fury as a mentor. Gratefully, her storage was well stocked, so any extra herbs she got were just that. Extras. Perhaps a hunting patrol between herself and the apprentice, then? StarClan knew she could use the stretch. Mind still deep in thought, she offered a nod of gratitude at the large tom before grabbing the berries, carrying them inside to the den's dry, underground herb storage. With the berries still not being fully in season, any find was a good one.

The tom had followed silently behind the leader and apprentice, offering the three lavender and three chamomile to the medicine cat as she approached to greet them. The patrol had been wildly successful, with the gentle giant being able to afford to bring along two extra flowers. He wasn't certain if they had medicinal properties, but he knew one thing for sure. They were super pretty! And well... with Firestorm taking care of his precious treasures and having even less time to spend with the medicine cat, the Maine Coon thought it would be extra special if he brought along two extra flowers so that the two busy mollies could maybe at least sport similar accessories and have a small piece of each other even while they worked apart. Not that... not that he was trying to meddle into a relationship that wasn't his or anything! Goodness no! He just... wanted to do something nice for his two friends was all!
"He's not mine for you to borrow, is he? You want to talk to 'im, just call him out. I'm sure he'll be happy to spend time with a friend."
Snowybreeze blinked as Lightningstorm spoke to the younger Lightning, surprised at the relatively soft tone she used despite the nonchalance of her words. Although then again, the medicine cat had never been one to be extremely gentle. He assumed she was nice around kits at the very least, what with having never seen a kit scared of her despite her being the medicine cat. But any cat above kit age knew to keep on their toes around her. Not a bad thing, of course! It was good she was so passionate! She had to keep up with the equally fiery Firestorm, after all! And speaking of...
"I-I don't. By golly. I don't. Mean. To intrude. Oh. Goodness. No. B-but. I did. Find. These two. P-pretty. Flowers. And I. I thought. Maybe. You could. Share. With. A nice. Nice friend. Perhaps. A special. Someone?" he whispered as he pushed the beautiful, orange and white lilies forward. The mix of colors represented the two felines so well, he couldn't help but think of them when he saw them.
The medicine cat blinked at the tom for a moment, causing Snowybreeze's ears to grow warm as he realized that... he might have overstepped. Oh. Oh dear. Maybe he should have just stuck to the flowers she had asked for? But... but they had brought along so many! Surely... surely it was enough? But then... who was he to decide that? Oh. Oh he should apologize. He needed to apologize! Before she... started grinning at him. Oh. Oh she wasn't mad. Thank StarClan for that.
Tapping his forepaws together, the white furred tom purred with glee as the molly thanked the patrol, slowly shifting through the flowers and dividing them before taking them back into her den for storage. With a respectful nod towards his patrolmates, the silent warrior took off, massive paws leading him straight to the nursery. He had been gone all day, after all. His little treasures would be waiting. And who knew. Maybe he could hint at his friend that maybe she should be expecting a white, black and orange visitor sooner rather than later. He'd even take care of the kits for her that day! He was sure they wouldn't mind, the sweethearts that they were, and she surely deserved a rest.

Today Crowtooth was a miiiiiite pissed. It was good think he'd been out of camp when it occurred otherwise he'd have probably have yelled at a kit in pure frustration. It wasnt a ton of prey Littlekit destroyed, but enough to be annoying so here he was, sending out patrols to recoup it.

With Deadmoon at the head and the cats specifically selected to not cause trouble it should be fine. However the tom didnt ask them to hunt while they were there, certain that the otters if they were as carnivorous as they seemed wouldve cleared the area by now.

If the deputy had a single clue about the warriors Thing with a thunderclan cat he'd ban her from that border but really he had no clue and instead fully trusted her with the patrol. Funny that.

The toms sacherine sweet smile was a thing of vengeance not caring today but hey! At least he didnt make her go with him and complained the entire way. Snowblind however was just the poor bystander/supervisor in this case.

Normally Crowtooth wouldnt send queens out at all but something about Whiterabbit just volunteered for the position so she was going if she wanted to. Spottedpaw should be up to it as well, he had to be nearly a warrior by now after all.

Pale orange fur ruffled, and covered in dark fluff and feathers (and small scratches), Firestorm stalked back into camp. First, she deposited her cache of one vole and three crows at the fresh-kill pile before marching up to Crowtooth, green eyes full of hardly restrained fury. She said nothing, but sat right in front of him and stared. Windkit and Littlekit often did the same thing when they were pouting about something, so I guess you could say “like mother, like daughter”.
This was Crowtooth’s fault. She wasn’t all that sure of how, but she could just feel it. Not only did he share a name with the demon spawn, but he was the one who sent her to the Windy Hills in the first place. It was him who caused this, and now she was going to be upset with him for his transgressions.
Turning her nose up and pointedly looking away, Firestorm let out a loud “hmph” before briefly describing the results of her patrol. ”Snowblind never showed up – I went alone. Caught a vole and two crows, Windy Hills very dangerous, many a devil bird there.” She grumbled.
