lady sat in the back garden, which was flat. she rolled onto her stomach, relaxing in the cool breeze as long as she could. the gentle ring of her bell sounded. lady rolled up, padding into her home. her owner, a almost elderly woman, petted her chin, smiling as it poured some kibble into the bowl. lady crouched down to eat it.

the little she-cat sat on the windowsill, realising that she had stayed inside for a unexpectedly long time. leaping down, She trotted around and outside again, dodging the flower pots.
“hello? jasperr..” she purred, her ears flattening as the usual, stealthy cat didn’t seem to arrive.

lurking in the shadows, a sly grin stuck onto the tomcats face as he stalked behind the fence. the calling of his name made him lower his head as he approached the fence. the kittypet stood , calling his name. he leaped down, into a bush.

the bush twitched, making lady crane her body warily.
“jasper..?”

jasper lunged out.
“boo!”
he twitched his ear, seeing that the she-cat was already stressed out.
“whats the matter?”

Lady almost jumped out of her well-groomed pelt!
“you scared me!” she purred with a playful frown. stretching, she sat down coolly. “where have you been?” she licked one paw sadly. “I’ve been waiting for you all morning.” Lady slumped into a loaf, laying her head out on the grass.

Jasper laughed with delight. Lady was a easy cat to scare, and it wa funny seeing her fur fluff up.
“well, im here now!”
he chuckled in satisfaction as she noted that she had been scared.
“I was just hunting, but I let the prey run away when i realised I hadn’t visited you.” He frowned at the sad bundle of fluff, sitting next to her. His big paws were on his fluffy tail. “ill bring that vole for you, promise,” he got up and yawned, “in fact, why not do it now?”
he leaped upon the fence, calling a goodbye over his shoulder.

food to eat, and your
no-fur gave me some
food.”

He sighed, rolling onto
his back. A slight frown
changed his face.

She joined Jasper, her belly

her bell. Any cat could
tell she was very distressed,
as if something was about
to happen.
