WHAT THE HECK WHAT THE HECK WHAT THE HECK????? WHAT WAS WRONG WITH JAGGEDKIT???? Deadmoon regretted deeply that she was forced to hold down this kit, this actual child, the child of her beloved former apprentice Snowybreeze! Stars above, Snowy was going to be so disappointed when he heard about this. And Jaggedkit would certainly scuttle off to tell him and Deadmoon would have to try and explain even though she didn't even know what was going on herself! The kit was just.....losing his mind! Trying to shred her, trying to get away, screaming about how he was hungry! Hungry! Why was hunger what occurred to him now?

Why hadn't he eaten prey? There was enough, surely! It wasn't leafbare yet! Did Deadmoon need to keep more of an eye on the prey pile, perhaps? Make sure she brought something directly into the nursery for Snowybreeze's kits? And Wolffang's too, she imagined. Stars above, she needed to visit them far more, she'd barely done so and they would probably grow up resenting her slothfulness at this rate. But they had Leopardsong, they didn't really need her about all the time. Deadmoon was so bad at this sort of thing.

Case in point, Jaggedkit. He had finally stopped struggling, muttering to himself, and Deadmoon had actually no idea whatsoever was going on here. She was well out of her depth, and clearly floundering. And now he was.....normal again. Acting normal. Did she really trust that he wasn't about to try and....what? Eat her leg again? Not really. So she kept him pinned down, because this was hella weird and Deadmoon was taking no chances. He was just asking a question? Yeah, right.

In light of her confusion (and in because her paw was hurting like mad, those kit teeth had done some damage!), Deadmoon's response was.....not the most empathetic. Just asking a question? You attacked me! You tried to bite my paw! I had to pin you down so you'd stop trying to maul me! Perhaps she was overreacting a bit, she was kind of freaking out a bit, but she had just been attacked! By a child! By a child she had wanted to like! She was tempted to wave her bleeding paw in his face, but blood had apparently been part of what triggered the last little.....violent episode, she wasn't taking any risks. She wasn't going to touch his head, or extend a paw to him, or ANYTHING. Deadmoon was taking NO chances. @burntToast

Ears flattened against his head at Deadmoon's tone. Attacked her, maybe he had? Even so kits attacked other cats all the time and they didn't make as much as a fuss as Deadmoon was. "okay? I don't remember doing that but sure" he snorted in response noting that the warrior had yet to remove her paw that kept him trapped in place. "I don't see whats so wrong with biting? Everyone does it! Straws bites everyone all the time!" he exclaimed as he attempted free himself again to no avail.

"And Card's bites too and Frost and Sprout- I think" he knew Cardinalkit and frostkit had bitten other kits and warriors before but he was unsure if Seedkit had. Either the way the point still stood, there was nothing wrong with biting so this old lady was in the wrong and she was overreacting. He'd have to tell Snowydad about this definitely. "now if you don't mind I'd like to go." he huffed, lashing his tail. "I'm not going to attack you" he added rolling his eyes, this warrior couldn't be all that cool if she was scared of him of all things. Didn't warriors fight much bigger and dangerous things, being scared of a kit was pretty lame in his opinion. Honestly what could he do? He'd hate to admit but he doubted he could be much of a threat

So he didn't remember biting her? That was.....worrying. Confusing and worrying and Deadmoon sort of just wanted to get out of this interaction right now because this was WAY above her pay grade. And apparently biting was the norm for their litter. O...k? Also weird! At least as far as she knew. She wasn't exactly an expert on kit behavior. Maybe she needed to ask one of the queens about that. Or maybe not, that could be super awkward especially if it WAS totally normal. Gah, Deadmoon just didn't know what to DO! The only thing she could really think to get done was let Jaggedkit up, lifting her paw and then placing it back in front of her no-longer-bleeding injured one. Just in case.

Do you.....do your siblings remember it when they bite cats? that was the weirdest part. The denial. His sudden change in demeanor when pinned, the lack of understanding of what was going on and why he was being thrown about a bit. Normally a kit wouldn't act like that. At least, as far as she knew they didn't. But, um.....you can go. I'm....sorry. About the whole....tossing thing. Stars above she was pathetic. So, so pathetic. And this little meet and greet hopefully friendly thing was actually a massive failure. Because of course it was, and now Jaggedkit would probably never speak to her again. Um....if you want any training or anything let me know! Anytime! Gah, she was SUCH a mess. @burntToast
