"will do ma'am" the enforcer returned the nod, eyes lingering on mistlewhisker for a moment longer before leaning down to do as he was told, nudging the fiery furred molly around for inspection and away from the corpses, though it appeared the kit was babbling truth. no smudges of crimson juice coated the outsiders thick, long coat and rookfire ignored the kits questions for food, closing jaws around her scruff gently without giving her the comfort of even knowing their names. at least they wouldnt have the change to protest upon realising that their parents were not coming along.

Midnightpaw followed Rookfire back to camp, carrying her catches back home. She dropped her three pieces of prey–one frog, two squirrels–and then she promptly followed Rookfire to go and see the deputy. Though, she didn't say anything herself.
