They said with a lot of enthusiasm, they felt like they had been cooped up in camp for forever and a half! It felt so nice to finally stretch their legs.

Goldenwing huffed softly as she thought about her response. "I'm grateful that we're settled in the new camp, the turmoil of the last couple moons has been pretty overwhelming. It might take a bit to get used to the new layout, though," she murmured. "I try not to be pessimistic, but I was getting fed up with the old two-leg den. I'm not sure how much longer I could have been cooped up in there," the warrior admitted.

The she-cat turned to Treeclimber, speaking louder for both cats to hear. "Freshkill is a good idea, the pile at camp has been pretty bare since we couldn't bring much from the old camp. Most cats have been preoccupied with setting up the new dens."

Songfeather listened carefully to her sisters words. "I agree. The two-leg den was not a home for us cats. never would've been. I am glad we found the new camp.", a shiver run down her spine when she remembered their temporary camp. It did the job, but the beige she cat preferred the forest over anything. And the river of course. She nodded when the two warriors agreed to hunt. "Let's just refresh the last markings and then see if we can catch something." she meowed enthusistically. After all, they where not a hunting patrol. So they should first finish what they started.

Songfeather kept on walking along the border. Putting her scent marks where she could sense the old ones. But she did not dare to stop focusing on her surroundings. The warrior didn't want to get surprised by otters or rival clancats. Today it seemed calm along this border though. She could make out any signs of them at least. "You guys hear or smell anything unusual?" she asked, looking around. She just wanted to make sure they didn't miss anything. When the other cats had answered her, she would nod and start to head back in the direction of the camp.

On her way back Songfeather would try to hunt.
As the trio padded through the forest, the beige cat stopped when she heard some rustling in the undergrowth. She liftet her nose, opening her mouth slightly to scent the air. A vole. Silently Songfeather moved towards the small rodent, waiting, aiming, and then pouncing on it. The vole almost escaped her paws, but failed. She killed it fast before it could try to run again.

With a satisfied smile, she picked the dead prey up and padded over to the others again, heading back to camp with them.
