Softkit hadn't known this was herb stuff. She hadn't been paying attention. She wrinkled her nose. Ew. She also didn't know who "Mr Stream" was, but if he was cool, then why was she only just learning this? If anyone was cool, it was her. But another cat who's cool? She didn't know. Softkit glanced at Cavesomething again. "But Cave's here," she hissed. "If Cave's here, then that overrides the coolness, because Cave is totally lame, which makes this lame." She was only trying to save Duskkit from smelling like stinky herbs and from being with lame cats, so this made it perfectly justifiable. She tugged on Dusk's paw. "Come on, lets go and do something cooler than this." Perfect. She was sure this would work.

Mintkit smiled at Berrycat's... Berryshine's happiness. She liked it when other cats were happy. It made her happy, too. But then Berryshinecat left her, to... do other stuff. She didn't know what the other stuff was. Mintkit stayed where she was, her large green eyes following Berryshine, as Berry talked to other Big Cats and other small Big Cats. Then Berryshine disappeared through the camp entrance, along with most of the other cats. Questions bubbled up in her head, though she felt small now, with the big wide clearing suddenly emptier. She didn't know what was happening. She thought they were playing a game? With the herby plants? But now everyone's gone? She froze in panic. Did she do something wrong? Was she supposed to do something else? Did she misunderstand the Big Cats? She made herself smaller with each question pounding in her head, drawing closer to herself and the ground. Why did everyone leave? Was she supposed to go with them? But she knew she wasn't allowed out of camp! It was scary out there. She shivered, remembering the bigbird that had swooped down and carried a kit in the old camp place. Once again, she noticed how empty it suddenly seemed, and her eyes stretched wider, suddenly feeling not safe, but unable to move, either.

Duskkit kind of just stared at her sister for a moment.
She personally didn't think it was possible for lionhearts to be... lame.
"But this could make us a step ahead when we're apprentices!" She debated "We could be, like... the best apprentices ever!"
If Duskkit was a step ahead, she wanted Softkit to be too, but of course she would never say such kind words out loud.

Beaverpaw glances at Salamanderpaw and Seapaw ( @nyme and @sleepyyjax).
He's met both of those cats at least.
Salamanderpaw was a long time ago, though.
During the raid when she took charge in the nursery.
Seapaw was recently, not long after moving back to camp.
He just nods at them as a 'hi' because he's too awkward to use his voice right now, and walks over to the flowers.
How had Berryshine said to do this?
Just.... collect them?
Okay, easy enough...
Beaverpaw picked up as many of the flowers as he could.

The ticked tabby then walks back over to Berryshine.
TurtleKit wrinkled her nose as her siblings appeared from nowhere. There goes her plans…ew. She looked back and forth between the two. She remained silent for now however, trying to seem ‘professional’.

"Why would I want you to be Ravenpaw?" The tom asked curiously, a frown etching his face. That's not what he said. At least, he didn't think so (the poor thing had yet to understand it sounded that way). His frown did not go away once Seapaw approached, noticing with narrowed eyes that the pair seemed quite close. Close enough to touch noses in greeting. His pelt prickled at the sight, but he said nothing.
Grunting his greeting, he swung his head away from his fellow den mates, tail tip twitching irritably. He couldn't help but notice the more time he spent around Rainpaw, the more his stomach felt like it was a pit. Did he not like her? How would he know? Was he a bad friend? Were they friends? Riftpaw didn't like the way his mind was racing. So much so in fact, that he jumped up to follow Brokenstream and Berryshine as quickly as possible when they were being led out of the camp.
'The same team?' The apprentice inwardly groaned as he was assigned to a team with Rainpaw and Shellpaw. Well, mostly Rainpaw. Maybe he could use Shellpaw as a distraction. He avoided Rainpaw's gaze as she enthusiastically called them to start gathering leaves.
"Okay." He mumbled, guilt searing his fur at his dejected demeanor. Rainpaw hadn't done anything wrong...but why did being around her feel that way? He shook his head, glancing at Shellpaw. He had yet to meet this den mate. "Hi."
Rainpaw felt a little jolt when noticed the change in demeanor in Riftpaw. He seems…more distant now. Was it something I said? She pondered this for a moment, but tried to set it aside for now. Right now was something she had been looking forward to for a while, and she wanted to enjoy it. Searching the low growing plants for the scent, she tried to focus her attention on the task at paw.

Ah-hah! She found a good sized bush of a plant that matched the scent she learned. “Riftpaw! Shellpaw!” She called to her team, waving her plumy white tail to get their attention. “I found some of that plant here!” She angled her ears at the clumps of the plant, then turned her eyes to it. She thought back to what Berryshine had said. She just needs the leaves…gotta leave the rest of the plant alone. Nodding to herself resolutely, Rainpaw bent to carefully pick some of the leaves from the plant.

With precision and care, Rainpaw removed 4 leaves from different stems. Ensuring no one plant was left with significantly fewer leaves than the others. She carefully picked up the 4 leaves and looked at her team, whiskers twitching excitedly, before leading them back to Berryshine with a sweeping wave of her thick tail.

Softkit frowned, again giving Cave a glance. Would yucky herbs really make her a step ahead? She was doubtful. But it sounded like Duskkit was determined to stay and do... this. Whatever this was. And being the best apprentice ever did sound fun. But... It was Cave. She made a face, hardly believing that she was agreeing to this. "Okay, I guess..." she said, trying to hide her misgivings. Maybe she could just, like... Avoid Cave? That sounded slightly better. She told herself she was only joining because Duskkit was joining. She didn't want to be left out of anything her siblings were doing. Maybe this wouldn't be a disaster?
