If one spent enough time in the clans, quietly watching and taking in the eb and flow, you'd oft come to find it cyclical.

Each disaster was anew in its own way, and each time it gave and took clanmates in turn changing faces like seasons. But each one would be weathered in time, the damage healed, and there'd be peace, however brief, until the next.

It was all routine and not at all, and if Mudhound in the scant quiet intelligence they had knew anything, it was that peace must be enjoyed while it existed lest you find yourself drowning in the din.

So wallowing and languishing was not accepted, and was their habit the tripod hastened those that did away from camp for some simple joy. It was really a wonder why cats still protested when kidnapped, there was nary a victim clanmate who came out unhappy.

Redhawk, at least, knew well enough to not struggle against this fluffy force of nature as she was nabbed from camp, because of all cats Mudhound would not tolerate this one to be sad. The hornets sunset-bird, their increasingly entire heart would recover from the loss of her leg, just as Mudhound once had. One step at a time.

"The trick of it is your tail honestly, I know they are always useful but cats dont use them enough compared to what they can do. Like my 'wagging' is sometimes just me using my tail to keep be balanced against a strong wind and no one even notices! So yeah, like I said shift your tail against your lean and alter your gait and this walk will go great~ Well get you fighting foxes in no time-

Oh I didnt even tell you what happened with the foxes! Ok so you'll never believe this, turns out I met one of them before!"
One step after another to a backdrop of endless chatter, of course.

Redhawk - ThunderClan Hornet

Wobbly and unsteady as she was, the last word on her mind when Mudhound talked about a walk out to the territory was "no". In fact, Redhawk couldn't really think about doing anything outside of letting a wide grin spread across her face at the invitation, immediately rising to her paws - and trying to ignore the way she had to stumble forward from the sudden unbalancing. But even as her pelt had flushed hot with embarrassment and her ears had flattened against her skull, Mudhound hadn't done anything but offer genuine encouragement.

...Yeah, okay, she would acknowledge it now. She was completely and whole-heartedly head-over-heels for her fellow hornet.

Unable to take her gaze off them (when it wasn't on the ground for balance), the reddish-brown she-cat nodded and looked over her shoulder at her tail. It seemed to be moving quite a bit more than she was used to, instinct already kicking in a bit to keep her upright. "Yeah, I t-think t-that helps a lot actually. I don't f-feel as wobbly if I keep m-moving my t-tail." Looking back up at her friend, Redhawk grinned widely and waved her tail just as she had been.

Foxes?? Redhawk had heard about them, and immediately worry clutched her heart. At least Mudhound had come back alright, because the hornet wasn't sure what she would do if they hadn't. "I'm really g-glad no one got hurt b-badly from t-the foxes!" she piped up, nodding along to emphasize her claim. "Did it r-recognize you? How??" Despite the worry in her heart, that was pretty interesting to consider; a predator that they didn't quite understand remembering them. Her gaze flickered down to the ground as she hobbled alongside Muddy before looking back to to her friend.

To be honest Mudhound was NOT paying attention to where they were leading Redhawk. Between trying to not walk into a tree due to the hearts in their eyes, snagging their pre prepared gift and hiding it until the tome was right, and yammering about their most recent scrap the tripod was just kinda.... walking through the territory, vaguely heading towards the outskirts border and the thunderpath but mostly just walking.

That'd become relevant later.

"Im not really surprised no one got hurt in the fox fight. Wolfhive had a GREAT plan to lure them into some traps and everyone in the fight were cats I know are being considered for hornet rank, so super skilled!" A good thing considering Mudhound would collapse from exhaustion soon pulling overtime manageing the recent predator influx as one of only three hornets unless they got more members. "Ok so Ive been learning to understand fox recently cus I was sure it had to be kinda between lynx and dog which I both know (and I was totally right by the way, its like dog but screamier) so thats how I know any of this buuuuuuuuuut..... Well it kinda told me it knew me. Yelled 'murderer cat! Revenge for sire and dam!' at me and went insane to get at me."

The whole thing sounded scarier then it was (at least to Mudhound who was roughly the size of a full grown fox) so the tripod continued blithly prattling on, brushing their side up against Redhawk as they walked.
"I guess it was the baby foxes that escaped that disaster raid led by Alderstep/Foxstep waaaaaaay back. The one with baby apprentices and too few cats that got Bumble-sis so mad. Suppose now I know we need to finish aaaaaaaalll foxes out or they come back for revenge later, gotta relay that to Bumble-sis later.

At least now thunderclan is safe and we can go out and back to normal again!"

Haha haha ha, what a joke, multiple cats were already sick and Mudhound was soon to join them as a pandemic swept the clan.
