"Surely there could be a way....." Darkfire sighed, getting mopey again. He hated to see his mate like this. "What do you think of me getting a new mate and having kits, by the way? It might look weird if I don't decide to get a new mate, and just feel sad about loosing you. At least to those who know me and about us. I mean, don't you think that other cats might think it odd that I'm not as sad as a cat might be if they just lost their mate? Getting a new one might cover that up."

The Golden Giant Looked And Thought For A Moment. Thatd Be Fine. But Im Not Sure There Would Be. And Who Do You Have In Mind For This New Mate? His Large Head Turned To The Side, Hazel Eyes Filled With Curiosity.
