Stars will sing
Time had become irrelevant. She realised she had died, never to return, since her last visit to Hollowpaw's den, the young apprentice's face the last thing she saw. A part of her was sad. She never got to see Mumzie or Plummy or FleckFleck again, never got to find out what happened to Eel and Acorn, and never got to reunite with her Pap. She still didn't understand that he too had joined the stars, or maybe a part of her was beginning to think as much? But she hadn't found him in death of being alive.
But what was odd, is that the young-warrior-aged-apprentice was at peace with her fate. She always had been the sickly child. Prone to sickness with every gust of wind, spent half her kithood sick in the medicine cat's den with Springy and Frizzy, and now some other mysterious sickness had taken her life. It was a fate written in the stars, as ironic as it sounded, her dying to a sickness only made sense. And yet she lamented that she never could become Poppydance. She wanted to carry on her father's name and make him proud, not die as an apprentice.
At least, for what it was worth, she was among the stars! And not the icky dark forest. Perhaps, even, she might meet her starry friend from that dream once upon a time, if her friend hadn't already fulfilled her duty. Poppypaw would have to keep an eye out for her, but until then she had another thing to do. And that was master her StarClan powers! She had heard - experienced - tidbits of the dead visiting the living in dreams, and that is what she aimed to do today with her eyes shut tight and focus solely on the cats of ThunderClan until the world around her began to shift and change into a scape unknown to her.
It was kind of bleak, to be honest. If this was the mind of a cat then she could only imagine how boring it might be in their mind -- no judgement. Wriggling her nose and twitching her whiskers, Poppypaw decided to walk until the scape changed again into something a little clearer, giving way to the sight of a familiar cat whom sparked great excitement within the young molly.
"Sprucey?!"
Eep, it worked!!
Overcome with excitement, Poppypaw surged forward and jumped with extended paws to tackled the familiar cat whom she - despite little interaction - considered to be one of her friends.
"Look, look! It's Poppy! I did it! I came into your dream! Poppy came into your dream!!"
[ @Alchemist Kitsune - I realised today that I never posted the starter like intended, oops, I should have written it down in my notes rather than trust my memory ]
