He cracked more of a smile, other than his typical, neutral expression. He then looked up and saw a few more branches. Should he go for it?…well…why not? He was already doing well enough.

He clung onto the tree tightly, knowing he could get hurt if he fell at this height. He then went inch by inch, acting as if he was as low as he had been before. He reached next branch safe and sound, which was a bit thinner but still stable.

Oh wow, he was getting really high now.
What was she going to do if he fell?

Maybeeee... dive under him, break the fall at least a little?

"Make sure to be careful!" She reminded. Not that she didn't trust that he could do it, he was just really high up.

The tom glanced up to the few branches above him then down. It wouldn’t be smart of him to go higher, huh? And the warrior said be careful. “Yup!” SpiderPaw said loudly so the cat would hear him.

He should learn to make his way down from here. For the first one he would climb down to the more familiar branch. He dug his claws into the tree, as he was used to, and inched his way down until he finally reached the second branch, a sigh of relief escaping him. Then the tom looked to the lowest branch, getting ready to jump, launching from the second and to the first, landing smoothly into it this time, though he almost went too far he had caught himself.

"Good job!" Bloomingblaze said as he successfully reached the lower branch "I'm sure y'r mentor will be glad t' hear about this!"
Did she know his mentor well?
No, just seen her around.

The praise felt nice as it went through his ears. Then when the cat brought up his mentor? Anything that made Bristle’Thorn proud made him feel good. He did owe her everything after all. He leapt down from the last branch smoothly before continuing the conversation with the warrior.

“Thank ya for teaching me!” He said, appreciation filling his rumbling voice. This was good! He made good and solid progress in his training! His warrior ceremony just inched closer by the day, and he was thrilled.

“Would you be open to helpin’ me with training some other time too?” He really did like this cat teaching him, he also felt like practicing climbing more now.
