The warrior raises its eyebrows. Another apprentice for the leader? It supposes she would know best whether she can handle another. As the leader rattled off the reassignments, their ears perk up. They got an apprentice! Finally. One step closer to being deputy. Mistlewhisker is a good deputy, but it knows deputies don't tend to last long.

Shaking their head to banish their wandering thoughts, Starlingcall focuses on Wispypaw. They arch their neck to search the crowd for their new apprentice. Hopefully Dawnstar knew not to give a soft kit like Willowpaw to them, they'd end up clawing their whiskers off in frustration. Apprentices who can't stand being told they're doing something mouse brained don't deserve a heartbeat of its time in their mind.

Birdpaw was getting her name already..? Well, Cinderpaw supposes it's about time for all of them to be graduating, even if she herself is a little behind. It wouldn't be long before the rest of them graduated... what would Cinder's name be? She has an idea of something she'd like... but would Dawnstar agree? She should ask once she's ready for her ceremony.

❦ An all too familiar name ricocheted nostalgically within the caverns of his large ears, settling like a lament on the sensitive hairs within, Bridpaw had grown up and it felt like an out of key note in the rippling of his starry mind setting his heart to an excited pace as his fur fluffed and his mossy hues beamed with pride for the molly - whom up him - was still the little bird he had taken under his metaphorical wing. Lanky freckled form rose to long legs as Mossfreckle stood and dipped mountainously into a deep stretch before his white tipped paws carried him to the outskirts of the gathered shadows which seemed to be no more than a bustled landscape of eclectically coloured pelts which dimmed in his gaze as his focus settled on the dark tabby which stood before her leader with an unexpectedly high chin, strength mingled with new found confidence seeping from her very demeanour and filling the air within the clearing with an odd sense of dignity. Lostspark - his sister - gone, so many of her children lost or dead or stolen, taken in some way that seemed to reek of some evil made deal or some cruel twist of fate but there stood Birdpaw against the tempestuous storm of her ill slotted place in life, or at least her perceivale of such. Gentle earthen coloured eyes sought to meet fiery amber, a reminder of her mother and the qualities she shared with such, a soft smile pulled the corners of the herbalist’s white twinged maw upwards as he curled his feathery tail over his petite paws and waited for the vows of warriorhood to be said, the vows of warriorhood to welcome her to her birthright and the name the stars had willed upon her and deemed her worthy of taking. As the not so little anymore feline remained within his foresight he willed the unspoken words to meet her mind in the void of space that seemed to exist metaphorically and literally between them… im proud of you my birdie princess… he willed the words forward as if they were carried on the chilled zephyrs he had tried avoid huddled in the mouth of his den within the shrouding of silvery verdant and muddy orange lichen, but some people where worth weathering the storms for.

Gutspaw was practically vibrating with excitement. To be fair, it had every right. Four moons overdue and the tabby had just about given hope to not be one of the oldest apprentices. Some divine punishment for daring to go against the grain. How dare teeth ever think about sneaking out. The reassignments and yayadada took forever. The apprentice reacted in the typical way with a distracted tone of voice. And then Dawnstar called teeth's name - and.. well, Birdpaw too, and it was weaving through clanmates to step up to the Grimpeak. It stood tall, waiting expectantly.

At least Gutspaw wouldn't have to sneak out anymore. Still, icy irises glanced around - grin faltering at the realization bite stood .. alone. Rotpaw and Bilepaw hadn't made it to be warriors. Goopywhisker was - gone. It had no parents to cheer it on (..not that it needed to be cheered on). A small frown appeared across its lips, something that had never bothered teeth before that now seemed like a hot flame running through its chest. Gutspaw didn't really,, know any of its clanmates. Didn't have any friends. (Squirrelrise was .. tolerable, but it still got the feeling she was more scared of 'em then actually liking it.) Oh bones, even its ,, mentor hadn't bothered to show up.

... Huh.

The damn thing Gutspaw had been waiting centuries for was here and bite suddenly felt any excitement drain out of its body. All this was switching out its suffix.

And then Rookfire's quick preemptive whoop dug it out from its thoughts. and It whipped its head in his direction, blinking rapidly before flashing a toothy grin, a swift dip of its in head. Maybe not totally alone. That fella was tolerable and as far as Gutspaw knew, had not a clue of the complete incidents of where it .. got a little... hungry.

Dawnstar's voice was echoing through the trees as Mistlewhisker returned from a stroll around the territory--it was more of a patrol, but Mistlewhisker could be cool and hip and... casual. The Deputy internally cringed at the thought, slipping through the camp entrance and settling towards the back of the group as to not disturb anyone. A few new apprentices, it seemed. Some of the older apprentices were greeting warriors, so she imagined a few reassignments, as well. And from the looks of it...

Mistlewhisker's already straight posture went ramrod at the sight of Gutspaw at the Grimpeak. Well, it was about damn time. Bite had deserved this for a while, at this point. Mistlewhisker had been about to interrogate the Enforcers as to whether bite's assessment had been taken care of, lest she do it herself (Mistlewhisker didn't like the idea of a warrior doing their own apprentices' assessments due to unconscious bias). Wrapping her long tail around her paws, Mistlewhisker let her face soften into a look of satisfaction. Maybe a little pride, too. Bite had wormed its way into her heart and decided to stay there. Like a parasite, she supposed. Gutspaw might like that reference. It seemed into weird stuff like that. Regardless, Mistlewhisker was glad to see teeth becoming a full-fledged warrior of the clan.

Muddyki- NO! Muddypaw, now, could hardly contain herself as she whipped her head around, looking for her new mentor. Spiderthorn, as Dawnstar had said. Locking her eyes on the cat, she bounded over, looking up with pure, unwavering excitement. She was quiet, as she had been taught to be during meetings, but she looked like she was about to BURST! She sat in front of the warrior, looking with wonder filled eyes as she bit her lip, trying not to be loud.

Andddd... There it was. Her reassignment. Wow, this was BEYOND disappointing. She didn't even know who Saltcloud was!! What a wimp, probably just as useless as her previous mentors. Still, the tortoiseshell cat lifted herself to her paws and looked around, but not before yelling out the names of the new apprentices. Good for them!! Hopefully they'd actually get mentors that weren't the scum of the earth.

Also, Spiderthorn got an apprentice! The smaller she-cat tried to ignore the obvious leap in her heart, as though it were trying to push through her throat and sprawl out into the floor, for all to see. She was so proud of him. Maybe she could... Caramel eyes searched the crowd, no longer looking for her possibly terrible mentor. No, no, she was looking for Spiderthorn, a cat she didn't mind seeing.

As she searched for his blue eyed gaze, she yowled, "AYE, SAPPHIRE!! CONGRATULATIONS!" She mewed, with a toothy maw and possibly the most genuine smile she'd had in over a moon. Now, it was time to go slug hunting.

She waltzed right up to Saltcloud as soon as she saw him, her eyes narrowed judgementally. Honestly? He should've came to her first! "Hey, I'm Magpiepaw, your new apprentice." She said with annoyed tones. "I have a good amount of my training completed, other than maybe a territory tour, soooo...." Yes, Magpiepaw was aware of the camp restrictions, she wasn't stupid.
