Could he be friends with Mapledawn, though, despite their clans being enemies? Basil knew that he didn't want to be enemies with this particular cat. But he pushed the disloyal thoughts away. I'm loyal to ShadowClan. I'm loyal. Of course I'm loyal. I'll always be loyal, right? 'Well, see you around the border, then?' he half-joked uncertainly, before turning away.
