a new beginning?
The last meeting had awarded Slatestripe a new apprentice, and he certainly wasn't going to screw it up. With Mintpool gone (that one he hadn't even started to process yet) and Dusklion angry at him, he was definitely clinging to this opportunity like it was his lifeline.
The small warrior wanted to waste no time in getting started with this apprentice's training. He believed Wrenpaw wasn't at the very beginning of training, but he wasn't sure. Wouldn't hurt to ask. Poking his head into the apprentices' den, he called, "Wrenpaw! I'd like to get started with some training."
