Hailpaw guarded her surroundings, suspicious as to why the other wasn't doing anything when a ShadowClanner suddenly came from the side. Wasn't that their medicine cat?! As much as she wanted to be surprised, the older apprenticed dismissed any thought of that as she spun around on her paws, just barely missing the other's claws, she stretched out her own aiming to scratch- or claw- Ebonyfang's face with a hiss. Perhaps it wasn't all that honourable to fight a medicine cat, but in her defence it wasn't she who attacked first either. So if a fight is what he wanted, a fight is what he would get.
