She had only been an apprentice then, but it still seemed so surreal that they had traveled all that way and settled into a new place. If the same thing happened within RiverClan, the molly wasn't sure what she would do. "I can't imagine traveling all your life," she echoed, her thoughts bouncing off her tongue in a pondering, thoughtful way as she focused her gaze ahead of them. She could smell the babbling stream of water up ahead, a popup of reeds blocking it from their view. "Right through here," she motioned, ducking her head a bit as she pushed through the tall spindly blades and poking her head out on the other side.
The one thing that impressed Heatherfur the most of RiverClan's spacious water-ridden territory was the river itself. So much life was always happening, especially with greenleaf in full swing. The sun shone down, barely any clouds blotting it from view. Prey scuttled about and there could be a fish spotted every other moment, wriggling by and onto the next part of the river. She realized too that this was also the spot Rowanflower had taught her how to swim at several days prior, and the thought brought a smile to her face. "Here. Don't worry, I just learned how to swim so if you fall in I can help." Stepping back so that Hannibal could reach the edge of the stream, she continued to observe the tom. A list of herbs ran through her mind, and she considered briefly returning to camp to retrieve some traveling herbs. No, he doesn't look like he needs herbs. Just water. Sitting back on her haunches, she waited patiently for him to go forward to get a drink, then she would escort him off of their territory and away from the other Clan's territory; the last thing every cat needed was her driving a loner from one Clan territory to the next.

Despite the tale being false, the words flowed so smoothly off of his tongue it was as if they were his true life story. A life of traveling, like nomads, seeing lands that surely this clan cat has never seen, of only living in one place for a couple of days before moving on. It was an easy tale, not one that cats tended to question much since wasn't that the life of a loner anyways? Of course if there were questions, Hannibal would be 'happy' to take them down that rabbit hole of lies. His fiery hues would glance over at her as she made comment that she couldn't imagine traveling all of her life. If you had no attachments to a place, it would be as easy as walking away. Your emotions are what bind you here, without them, you would be free. His mind thought dully as his gaze was swept back ahead of himself, ears angling slightly as he caught the bubbling sound of water. "Thank goodness!" He would murmur, ducking his head slightly as well as they pushed through the blades.
Hannibal did pause, as he took sight of the water, however it wasn't because he was scared of it, he was making a mental note of the location. He would likely use it later when he returned to this place. With the mental snapshot tucked neatly away in his mind, he would look to her as she offered to help if he happened to fall in. He let a look of 'relief' cross his face as he took an apparently tentative step towards the edge of the water. "Thank you!" Stooping down, he'd thirstily begin to lap at the waters edge, the water barely touching his front paws as he leaned his head forward. Nearly a minute later, he seemed to have had his fill and was panting and licking his lips from the few droplets that remained, looking much more refreshed. "Are there a lot of cats in this clan of yours, or is it more of a small group?" He would ask with a tilt of his head, standing up fully now, as if he understood that she would want to start to escort him out immediately.
