That was one enemy. A battle between Shadowclan and Thunderclan could cost so many lives, and the risk of a major battle would increase if that apprentice decided to tell mention their patrol to Halestar regardless of what specifically Sharppaw decided to say. We can't have a battle now. Not with Jaystorm kitting any day now. What if Shadowclan invaded? What if her mate Thrushwing were killed? The tom could hardly stand the thought. His hackles began to raise as they approached the border. If anything happens to any of my family, that apprentice is freshkill. His claws were out now as he stalked along, trying to remind himself that a warrior doesn't kill, doesn't need to to win battles. But he didn't think he'd be able to stand it if his sister or her mate were hurt.

Do you guys want me to set up a meeting with Snowstar?)

Sprucefur nodded, lowering his head. What would Snowstar think about the apprentice? Would she be proud they did the right thing? Upset they let him go? Or concerned about a future war? Maybe all three of them. That apprentice was so close to discovering the true reason of their presence. His head was swimming with thoughts as he trudged behind the group.
