Skye stalked in the bushes as she scanned the park for food, her blue eyes roaming the water and land. Her grayish-blue mackerel fur flat as she moved as stealthily as possible to avoid two-legs and dogs.


With no family or friends, she could remember the hardship of surviving, it had been at least a few days since she ate a proper meal, fully aware she knew she needed to find food soon. Her long bushy tail dragging along the ground as she crossed the playground carefully and into a bush near the lake, her nicked ears flickering around as she waited and watched for danger and water fowl, while she did hate hunting water fowl she knew it was necessary to stay alive.


Her wait was patient and calm as she enjoyed the calm surrounding until a water fowl came near the shore, without a hesitation she lunged out and made a leap of faith for the bird, her claws unsheathed and her mouth wide open as landed on the bird and dragged it down, her body twisting around so she could land on her paws. The water bracing her impact a little as she made a thump on the ground the moment she landed. With a proud look, she stood up and dragged the dead fowl onto land, her wet tail flicking the water off as she settled in a bush nearby, her happiness rising as she ate her prey, the enjoyment was soon short-lived when she heard a large dog, she let out a hiss and took some food from her kill and ran off to hide.
