now that the explaining was out of the way, rookfire focussed on actually finding his herbs. broom and rosemary. after both showing and describing what marigold looked like, the former medic had little worries that wildpaw wouldnt find what he was supposed to gather. it really wasnt that hard.

now that greenleaf was pretty much close enough to grasp and most plants had returned to their bright flowering selves, it wasnt really a challenge to locate some broom. bright yellow flowers mounted on long stalks. honestly the perfect herb to gather, easy to find, easy to get more than one stalk.

next up rosemary. definitely smaller than broom but still easy to find given its strong, sharp scent carried far and wide. small purple flowers adorned the needle-y leaves like dots of colour. rosemary stalks were harder to chew through, rooks tongue getting coated in bitter juices he was certain would remain stuck to his maw for the next day at least. once the enforcer had collected his final stalk, he returned to where he left the other two.


silver eyes got caught on the plants the apprentice was carefully holding almost immediately. if he was honest rookfire was nothing if not frankly impressed by the number of wrong plants wildpaw had managed to collect. what were three more dandelions? silverdusk should have enough marigold to make up for it ideally.

"put down the plants for me hm?" the enforcer requested, placing down his own collection and waiting until the apprentice had done so as well before sitting up on his hind legs and pointing at the one marigold wildpaw had actually found. "thats marigold, see how big it is? lots of ruffled petals"

his paw moved to point at the dandelions. "these are dandelions, they are flatter than marigold, see? their petals are skinny and long instead of short and ruffled as well. n that-" lastly pointing at the hop trefoil, "dunno what the hell you got here but you can show sleepysunrise when we're back, maybe she can use it anyway" the enforcer explained before picking his plants back up.

"we'll head back"
