He scoffed, it was likely Rookfire was right. There wasn’t much point in arguing it further. He hadn’t had much experience with the healer but he trusted Rookfire’s words at face value. Then again, he didn’t believe anything particularly kind natured about the other clans. He paused at Rookfire’s next question, he hadn’t expected the tom to take an interest. But it was a welcome one, Owlthroat held a lot of pride for his children despite their annoyances. It was always a pleasure to gloat in their stead.

”Hard to keep track of em’ nowadays, but they behave themselves for the most part.” He grumped a smile playing on his maw. ”Wish they’d spend more time with me, but don’t we all. I’m not bothering chasing them around.” There was more he wanted to say of course, but he hadn’t quite reached that level yet with Rookfire. Not quite close enough to spill all, but his hinting was the start of it. Opening up slightly, showing he wasn’t quite the big brash mean machine he portrayed himself out to be.

Owlthroat raised an eyebrow at Rookfire’s brief comment. He followed his gaze, but couldn’t quite get what had ruffled his fur. His head tipped curiously towards Rookfire, if he chose to share that would be his initiative, but he wasn’t all that fussed.
