Blackjaw snickered as Wildpaw bounded off excitedly. "You won't learn nothing by yourself, especially if you keep making all that ruckus," the tom mewed coolly. The apprentice seemed to have boundless energy today, which could be both a good thing, and a bad thing.

As the toms walked into the territory, Blackjaw had taken slight notice at Wildpaw's recoil from the sunlight, like it was extra harsh in his eyes. The tom thought little of it, simply walking beside the apprentice until the reached a shady part of the wooded territory. "Alright Wildpaw, for starters, you'll be glad to know that you naturally have a better pelt for camouflage," the tom purred. Compared to his own snow white pelt, the calico apprentice blended in perfect.
