Vinesmoke approached Dapplebreeze with a respectful, purposeful step. He had a goal in mind and wasn't going to waste her time, but he knew she was a cat of experience, and he would need to ask for her guidance if he was to achieve it. His posture was steady but not too rigid; he was determined, but polite “Dapplebreeze,” he began, his voice firm yet respectful, “I hope I’m not interrupting you, but I wanted to speak with you about something.” He took a breath, then got straight to the point. “I’d like to ask for your help with battle training. Not just sparring, but strategy and decision-making—how to think during a fight, how to stay focused when everything’s happening at once. I want to improve my skills, and I believe you’re the best cat to help me do that.” Vinesmoke gave a small nod, but he wasn’t finished. “There’s something else I’d like to propose. With the new barn cat situation, I’ve noticed that some of the younger cats don’t know how to deal with farm animals. They’re nervous about it, and the animals can be dangerous if they’re startled. What if we held a training session, something for the clan, where we teach the younger warriors how to approach farm animals safely? We could go over their body language, how to avoid spooking them, and how to react if things escalate. Maybe even some controlled situations, so they can experience it firsthand.”
