Though Sootbird had been antsy earlier, she had eventually calmed down. She'd learned a technique to deal with her bubbling thoughts and it worked... mostly.

"What did you want to do first?"

She shared a little bit of the apprentice's enthusiasm. Pikepaw was her first apprentice, that was cool, right? She was still so young - it was odd, coming from apprenticehood and shortly being assigned one - but she wasn't going to argue with anybody. Even sometimes the intimidating things turned out to be the brightest and most fun.

"I could give you a tour of territory - but it's completely up to you."
