Bumblebreak's ears twitch as if they want to flatten at the question but resist the impulse. She shifts around to look but doesn't lift her head from her nest to answer.

Barely got time with my mate. Feels like I never had time for my kid." There's a slight hitch in her voice and she coughs to clear it.
"I'm glad it was me. That I was the one to build it back up, 'cause it wasn't like anyone else was fit for it. But if I ever have to do it again, I hope it won't last as long. I dunno if I would last. 'N I don't really fancy dyin' exhausted."
