WHITERABBIT . 25 MOONS . SHE/HER . WINDCLAN
LUCKY DUCK T2 Initially, Whiterabbit is thrilled to hear her name called for another task. She loves hearing her own name, she loves tasks. Yay! Yes!! Awesome!!!
....But......it's just..........that this task is boring. It's so boring that she makes extra sure to give Lightningstorm a pathetic look, complete with a suffering sigh, punctuated by a sad wobbly lip, as she otherwise quickly and obediently sets herself to work on the New Task. Because really, no, she doesn't mind (much...) but she can't help playing right now. She's just in too good of a mood. Not even the awful awful bad awful tang of herbs all up in her mouth can dampen her good spirits, though she doesn't bother holding back a few muffled groans about it. No wonder Lightningstorm doesn't eat (???????). These herbs would kill anyone's appetite.
Twilightstar makes the drop-off partway and pushes onward with the rest of the intrepid adventurers. Whiterabbit does her very best here to set down, neatly, everything she would have been counted on to carry. Then comes a long look at Lightningstorm. Then a long, long look at the disappearing backs of the Cats Who All Get To Do The Most Fun Thing Right Now. And another look back at Lightningstorm. Whiterabbit had already been given the go-ahead to ditch her here and catch up with the CWAGTDTMFTRN but is that an alright thing to do really? The last time she'd left Lightningstorm to her own devices, the maniac had gone and invented falcon-fishing. And there's a dog (!) on the loose.
Whiterabbit scans the area and tucks her poor half-tail in conspicuously. She likes a lot of things that are bad for her, but she's learned her lesson with dogs.
"I'm staying here just in case you decide to go dog-hunting next." Whiterabbit announces, even though there is no sign of the dog and likely (hopefully) never will be. All the more reason to hang back; she'd like to see the barn, but she'd love to stay wherever the dog isn't. She...really hadn't thought this through. But, anyway, this means Whiterabbit has time to be annoying about things that aren't her business and for which this arguably isn't the time, since she's not convinced that this loop has been closed yet and there is nobody to stop her. Whiterabbit slips a dumb chatty affect right on, nice and easy.
"I bet that barn's just teeming with mice. I heard the last patrol that went up there came back loaded. I could go for a mouse or two." There, that's a pretty casual way to segue right into what she's really about to get at: "Hmmm. Did you eat today?"
