Mountaintalon smiled, light and just a smidgen triumphant.
"Yes, I am glad you have been able to see things for what they are rather than lingering in uncertainty." Maybe she would consider this the next time she considered neutrality on any subject. Of course he was right. It was rare he was anything but.
"Well, the boy has his judgement. It is up to us now to bear witness."
Her invitation was met with the brief crease of his brow - why was she so interested in his company all of a sudden? - but he saw no reason to refuse her. Unless she was just that good at hiding it, she didn't strike him as the type to try to wriggle under another cat's skin. She actually seemed quite the opposite. So with a sigh another mild smile, he sat down next to her.
"It would be my pleasure."
At Hickorysmoke's approach, he gave the warrior an appraising glance.
"You were on the otter patrol." He wasn't quite asking.
"I suppose we have you to thank for this feast, then. You and the rest of your group. You would do well to get those injuries looked at by a more capable healer. It would be a shame to lose a decent warrior."
