Sprucepaw recoiled as she was slapped in the face. That had stung enough to almost bring tears to her eyes. It seemed like Firepaw didn't think like her about no head blows. Beachheart hadn't mentioned anything about it. She blinked, doing her best to recover. Focus! Once more, her paw was brought up as she tried to bring it down across his right shoulder blade. If she ran around to try and hit his hind leg, he'd expect it this time, wouldn't he?

Claypaw was left open by her fumbled attack, and she saw Seapaw's counter coming right towards her. Uh oh, that looked like it was going to hurt. Without thinking about her options, she fell onto her side and used the momentum to roll onto her back. Just in time. "Haha!" She cried, and tried to slap Seapaw against his belly while she was upside down.

Their paw swiped through the air, and thankfully didn't hit - it would've been way too hard! They couldn't think of many things worse than accidentally hurting such a young apprentice.
