“Oh, you see… I…” Carppaw’s head sinks a bit downwards as she tries to recall her memories. And for some reason, she is sure that she hasn’t caught a single prey ever since, despite being ranked as an apprentice for nearly three moons straight! At least she trained herself by hunting down insects since kithood, which kind of improved her potential for her training. “It’s just… I taught myself how to hunt down bugs.” She doesn’t want to be ashamed, but she knows that training isn’t meant to be done in an instant.

“I don’t know if bugs are even valuable for the clan. If so, then Windclan should think of a brand-new rank! Insect hunter!!!” Her chest puffs with pride like a leader declaring a new role that values the whole clan more than the fury themselves. “I’ll be the very first insect hunter, just you wait!” She teasingly adds.

Huh, wow! So Carppaw hadn't had any kind of hunting training either. That made her feel a lot less like a floppy-flop-flop for not having any herself. But, Carppaw had learnt to catch bugs super well, all by herself! That was super cool. "Wowie!! I try to catch bugs, but I'm not that good." She shook her head. "That's super cool!" She spun around with glee, before staring Carppaw right in the face as she continued.

Were bugs valuable... Hm, were they? She wasn't really sure either, but surely there was something the clan could do with them. GASP - and there could be a new rank for insect hunters! Just for Carppaw. Wow, wouldn't that be cool?! "I think you'd make a great insect hunter!" She grinned, giving the apprentice a rough shoulder bump. "Maybe we could start eating insects. I ate a frog the other day, which was weird enough in itself, so why not bugs too?!" It made sense, right?
