~~~ Wildpaw! This was amazing! The newly named apprentice beamed, first to Morningpaw, then to Blackjaw. His best friend and his new mentor! This was the best day EVER! It didn't even matter how unusually oily his pelt felt and looked. It was all completely forgotten in the euphoria of finally getting to be named an apprentice. It felt so long and so short at the same time.
He was so excited. He would get to train and share the den with Morningpaw! Now he had a right to tease him for how he walked, right? Surely, that was what it meant to be equals, now. Perhaps later he would! Or maybe he wouldn't. He was too excited to plan like that right now!

~~~ Mosstangle purred and looked at Blackjaw, sitting up straight before pushing against his shoulder. "Get moving, furball," She chuffed playfully. "Go touch your apprentice's nose and sit with him." Sure, it might leave her in the rain, but he needed to start bonding with Wildpaw. They would get to go to the grove soon, even if it meant waiting for the white tom to properly greet and plan with Wildpaw.
