There he was. Aldersnarl... Mosstangle felt a wave of emotions come over her as she spotted the familiar pelt. He had come back. "Alder-" Mosstangle's voice cracked. It would not be crazy to think she had hurt her throat in her cry for her sibling. He looked so much thinner. Has he been eating enough? Of course not. She was vaguely aware of Smokefern with her, but how she reacted to this turn of events...

Tears formed in Mosstangle's eyes as she stepped forward to meet her brother, but her fur began to bristle as another tom appeared.

Larger than even her big brother. A growl rumbled in the stocky tabby's chest as he dared to growl at Aldersnarl. Who did he think he was!? "Don't you dare touch him!" She snarled, voice rasping lightly and somewhat pained from her own cries. Who the hell did he think he was, trying to lead him away from his family? From shadowclan? "I'LL GUT YOU IF YOU THINK YOU CAN TAKE HIM AWAY FROM HIS HOME!" Mosstangle snarled, biting back the gravely-sharp pain in her throat and leaping forward to shove herself between this stranger and her brother, claws flashing and teeth bared to strike him where he stood.

What had surprised her, was Alder stepping between her and the stranger. The tom was momentarily saved from Mosstangle's ire as she stared at her brother, shaking and bristling with a mixture of rage, desperation, and even relief at seeing him again. "Aldersnarl, move. I'll slit his throat for daring to threaten or hurt you." That was the only thing that made sense to her. This tom had obviously been holding her brother as some kind of hostage. He thought he could control a shadowclan cat? HOW WRONG HE WAS!
