Heroneye watched the apprentice perform the move, then sheepishly turn to her with their question. It was interesting; most apprentices she'd taught used too much force at first and fell over. If Seapaw had wanted to avoid embarrassment, Heroneye supposed they'd "picked" the better of the two likely mistakes--though, of course, that was hardly the point of these lessons. That is, in her opinion, making mistakes during these lessons was basically inevitable, and how one went about didn't really matter in the utilitarian sense. Granted, it was easy to say that as an observer.

"Yes," she confirmed--though she quickly realized that sounded a bit too blunt and continued, not wanting him to become discouraged. "Your form was good, though. Try again with more force, then, and keep that form in mind." After all, she wouldn't want Seapaw to go too far in the opposite direction and have the same issue as those aforementioned apprentices.

Okay, okay, cool. They steadied themself, feeling a little more confident now. So he tried again, going back to his crouch. Then, a leap, using the same momentum he had last time. Finally, the hit. Their paw swung through the air, easily and firmly - though they didn't like the idea of it actually hitting another cat. It would hurt, wouldn't it? They didn't like hurting other cats. But, if they were threatening RiverClan for no good reason, he guessed he'd have to... Though, maybe he could use it as a kind of battering move? No claws, just distract the enemy with hits like this. It seemed an okay plan. Maybe they should ask Heroneye about stun move, or something. But, well, if a cat was literally trying to kill them, maybe they wouldn't be all that useful... "Was that okay?" They tilted their head, looking at Heroneye again.
