Well, it definitely made her losing a mentor a lot easier knowing that she wasn't the only one getting passed around to a new mentor. Sure, she had seen it a few times, now, but it had still stung when her mentor had just gone and disappeared on her. It bothered her, and she wasn't really sure whether to be worried for Hollylynx, or mad at her. Did she leave willingly, or did something happen? She had no way of knowing unless her previous mentor showed back up.

A quiet, appreciative trill met Seapaw's comment about getting some training done. She decided, then, that she would do the best she could to train apprentices just like the warriors that had helped her before did, once she got her warrior name, that is... Even if it was still a scary prospect to try to interact with so many others.

Then her fellow apprentice said something about helping her swim. It seemed awfully strange to ask for a warrior escort for an apprentice to teach another apprentice... but, well, if Seapaw was so comfortable in the water, then it couldn't be that crazy. That wasn't the part that bothered her, though. In truth... Spiderpaw wasn't entirely sure she would be able to willingly go back into the water. "I think that would be nice..." She mewed, but couldn't help the uncertainty in her voice. "I don't know... We could ask Heroneye, maybe? She might be willing, if she's not too busy..."

Spiderpaw did sound... a little uncertain? But he wasn't entirely sure how to calm her nerves. They continued to pass their pebble between their paws, mind whirring as it searched for some kind of bright idea. But, alas, nothing all too bright came to him. "We don't have to of course, if you don't feel up to it!" They explained, giving her a light, and hopefully comforting flick with their tail. "It'd be nice if we could get Heroneye to take us out some time, but we don'thave to if you're not ready!" His tail waved back to position slowly, wafting side to side for a few seconds with alight bit of nervous energy. Swimming must be just as daunting for her as fighting was for him, right? The way all those claws and slashing made him feel, the smell, the sound the danger. Perhaps water made Spiderpaw feel that horrible too.

"I think I feel that same about fighting..." They added, a little quiter, almost embarrased to admit it. They still felt a little bad about Salamanderpaw's reaction to the rumours that'd spread - if he'd just got his training done and out of the way. his siter wouldn't have to put herself on the front lines to defend him. His eyes looked to the sky for a second, wathcing the little fluffy clouds before going back to what he was saying. "Maybe once I've had some actual training in it, we c... We can spar, or or something." He coughed, trying to clear his throat. They werne't often the kind of cat to stumbe over their words - they didn't lke it when they did, they found it embarrassing. But, it almost always happened when they spoke about fighting, battle, anything like that. "Then, we both get to practice stuff we don't like - or - or, in my case stuff I'm scared of." They added, with a polite smile. He hoped it'd be nice for Spiderpaw to know that she wasn't the only one that struggled with some elementsof training. He knew it made him feel better, to know that it wasn't just him.
