Alright so the prey pile looked good and it'd stopped snowing and started raining (still cold but a sure sign spring was approaching at a rapid clip) but it'd be good to try and eek out one more hunt before warm weather brought real numbers of prey back to the clan. They just needed to survive one more meager hunting trip....


Sodden by the rain the deputy stepped into his usual spot, shaking himself with a huff before calling out "Alright everyone I know its rainin' but patrols MUST occur! Git over 'ere!"

[Sedgewater Valley - Riverclan territory]

"Right last round 'ere was a disaster AGAIN so be warned, fail this patrol an' Imma 'ave yer head. Birchfawn yer leadin' Scorpionsight an' Windpaw ta the riverclan border, git some prey if ya can."

Seriously first the Fleetpaw incident and then Whisperinghive failing and Crowtooth was starting to think the border was cursed even if riverclan was peaceful.

[Whispering Wetlands - Shadowclan Border]
[Optional prompt: Spring flooding means the wetlands are belly deep... On the warriors. Maybe find high ground.]
"Right Im beggin' yall no more frogs but we do need prey from the borders given the territory is risky with the traps. Rabbitfur Fernpool an' Shrikepaw do yer best at the wetlands."

At least with shadowclans being sympathetic to windclans trapping blight they were unlikely to start trouble for once.

"Last border, thunderglade. Rookpaw an' Strawberrypaw I dont think either o' ya ave huntin' trainin' so Imma teach ya'll while we patrol."
Though he doubted he'd find answers he would love if they could discover why thudnerclan had been absent from the recent gathering too.

Hunting time.... And Crowtooth actually felt bad and worried sending these groups out.
"LISTEN WELL HUNTIN' PATROLS! TRAPS ARE STILL AT LARGE SO YER TA BE VERY CAREFUL WHERE YA GO AN' STICK TA YER PARTNER LIKE HONEY! I WANT NO INJURIES, CLEAR?!"
Stars no one better get hurt windclan needed the prey and hunting was hard enough with the twoleg disturbance.

Lightingstorm was so near quitting with how frustrated she was with all the injures and Crowtooth was terrified to vent she'd shred him.

"Bluestrike an' Kestrelpaw yer heading ta sunset grove. I dunno if theres traps there so be cautious but see what ya can git."

[Twilight Falls]
[Optional prompt: Huh... there's fish in the pools below the falls. Watching you soon see why. A small clumsy falcon with a struggling fish flies overhead to perch atop the falls and eat but accidentally drops the fish in the pool where it escapes.]
"Finally I think.... Lightingstorm ya need the excercize git yer butt up an' take Whitetabbit ta the falls, its not always great huntin' but hopefully the sound overwhelms the twoleg noises so the prey aint scared off."
It'd be an odd change for once. Usually the falls was poor hunting as prey was startled off by the sound of the waterfall. But the twoleg noises were scaring off prey elsewhere so maybe the din would mask that. Hopefully.
