Shrikepaw’s question was rather blunt, but it didn’t bother Cottonpaw. He knew there was no malice behind it. In fact it was quite the obvious question to ask. He tried his best not to think about it, but it was an impossibility.

B.b.but t.they s.s.smell l.l.like m.m.metal d.does, l.l.l.like b.b.b.b.b.b.b.b.blo…blo..blood.” He paused pondering it over. ”A.a.a.a.a.a.a.actually t.that m.might h.have just b.b.been my l.l.leg.” He gave up a sheepish grin to Shrikepaw but it felt stuck in his throat.
